I had to add a comment here for your "She's the Man" review. I'm in exactly the same position you were. Well, not exactly the same. I think I'm a couple of years younger than you (28). Anyways, the point that I'm trying to make is that I "left" Nickelodeon world when "All That" was the coolest sketch comedy show since Kids in the Hall, before Double Dare made it's third and fourth versions of the show, and before Spongebob existed. So I never heard of Amanda Bynes before she started popping up in Hollywood movies.
Okay, I lied again, I had HEARD of Amanda from her OWN show on Nickelodeon that my little sister told me about. She's the one that obsesses over Disney, the one I mentioned in our short High School Musical debate. Anyways, I'm rambling because I just woke up. I first saw her in Big Fat Liar, and from there I was hooked. Alot of people have been saying that Raven Symone from the Disney channel is the "new Lucy". She's not, she's just a dancing, prancing fool that's more insincere than Hillary Clinton. I still shudder when I hear her fake Jamaican accent in her version of "Under the Sea". It's an insult to both the movie and to Jamaicans everywhere.
Amanda Bynes however IS the REAL "next Lucy". She has the ability to be cute and reasonably attractive, while in the next scene she can give us the ugliest looking pick-your-nose-"man"-face I've ever seen. She is what Jenny McCarthy would have become if Jenny had actually taken ACTING classes. I think she's going to lead the stampede into the future generation of comeday, and frankly, I can't wait.
