I don't know who this Michelle character is, but I like her style, and she's right on about this movie. But I don't like that Mike is now claiming credit for her work. Write your own stuff, Mike!

It was all about the Tequila! dance, baby! If that song comes on, no matter where I am, I still do it to this day! Now I seriously want to watch that movie. Thanks, Michelle!

I agree with you on the whole "woven into my childhood" thing. This movie was a staple of birthday parties when I was in 1st and 2nd grade.
Flash forward 20 years. A music venue I used to frequent (First Avenue in Minneapolis, for any of you Purple Rain and/or Prince fans) frequently airs (with no sound) movies or TV shows between sets. The first time I saw them showing this movie, I was amazed that I knew what the dialog was after so many years of not seeing the movie.

It wasn't because of this movie, it was because my parents told me I should brush my teeth first thing in the morning. Now I don't eat breakfast, so the point is moot.

The closest thing was my 27th party which was 80's themed. I had a pac man cake (yellow with one piece taken out), eating several power pellets (white frosted cup cakes). Also, Dig Dug.

I had a Star Trek Murder Mystery party when I was in high school. I'm having trouble deciding if that's actually cool or just my usual well-masked lameness.
