First of all, thank you for bringing this movie to my attention. I hope to run across a physical copy someday that I may make a thousand more copies and plant them in random garage sales across the country. Just for fun. Anyways... Actually, you don't really want to look at the dictionary, you want to look at Wikipedia. The "quixotic medallion" is an obvious reference to Don Quixote, a fictional "knight" that believes his romantic fictional adventures and quests to be real. Much like how the kids believe the entirely fictional and disturbingly friendly Rem Lezar to be real. Just for your information in case you didn't know.

Water through the nose. Very painful. Still hilarious.

The whole review is good, but I agree that "The whole thing is seriously like two steps away from becoming Rem Lezar and the Magical Windowless Van" is what makes it a classic. Nice one, Al!

Friends of ours found "Creating Rem Lezar" at the video store that kept some of us (almost) gainfully employed for years. When the place went out of business, I kept a copy (the one Al has) and gave the store's other copy to a couple random guys who were having a hilarious conversation that I heard from behind the counter. Apparently they mailed their copy to a friend who is in a monastery in California. Had this occurred more recently, I definitely would have hung onto that second copy to be sent immediately to MRFH headquarters.

ok, I'm at work, and I just watched the first 5 minutes on youtube.
OH. MY. GOD.
I realllly have to work, but as soon as I get home I'm sitting down and forcing husband to watch this in its entirety with me. Amazing!
Thank you to Al (and, apparently Drew, and an out of business video store!) for introducing me to this cinematic brilliance.

Thank you for bringing this movie to my attention and the Youtube tip. I've only made it through the first two blocks, but wow...
I mean... Yeah... That sure is something. Rem Lezar stalking around is just... Man.

Happy to hear you guys enjoyed it! Frankly, I'm just glad I work in a venue that allows me to open so many eyes to masterpieces like Rem Lezar. ;D
EDIT: I'm all over the Don Quixote thing, by the way. I'm just not willing to give them that much credit.
