Oh yeah. That's right. In the Name of the King: A Dungeon Siege Tale becomes available for rental tomorrow (technically also available for purchase, but let's not kid ourselves).
I am going to be all over my local Redbox like a person on a DVD vending machine. Believe it or not, this will mark my first Uwe Boll experience. I'm thinking the only way that it can not get a review is if I'm rendered comatose by awfulness.

Did I miss it in the theaters? I THINK I DID.

How does Uwe Boll keep getting good actors? I know he has the same twisted insurance policy scam the Producers used (via his German friends) so that's how he keeps making movies, but who the hell willingly signs to those? Especially more than one COUGH COUGH KRISTINA LOKENWHATWEREYOUTHINKING.
I haven't been this confused since No Way Out! Coming next: Uwe Boll presents Microsoft Flight Simulator, the Movie, and this summer don't miss Uwe Boll presents Double Dare: The Nintendo Entertainment System Game: The Movie (rated PG-13.)

Did I miss it in the theaters? I THINK I DID. That depends. Maybe your aim isn't that good. He's talked about this in interviews. What he does is wait until the last minute and then grab them in between jobs.

While watching BloodRayne, one of the last thoughts I remember having before going to sleep was 'Is that Oscar winner Ben Kingsley?' *zonk* ...zzzzz....

Not only is that Ben Kingsley, not only is he an Oscar winner, not only was he in Schindler's List, not only are those real Romanian prostitutes, but that totally out of place good actor was knighted by the Queen. That's right. Sir Ben Kingsley.
Now I'm all for the 'better in than out' theory of economics that doing nothing is just a stupid idea and a waste of time (see 'holding out' on leasing apartments, wow, way to go, great strategy), but there is a LINE and it has been X'ed.
Sarahbot, I salute you with the fire of a thousand non-phoenix-drained suns for being able to sit through those interviews. It's like commentary with Brent Radner. YEAH. I'M AWESOME. This scene is awesome. This scene too. This one: exactly as awesome!!![/u][/i].... except there's people there, real people like you or I... and they have to politely nod their heads while he says splicing in game footages from House of the Dead the arcade game, circa 1996, was a brilliant idea on his part.

The bad news: Redbox doesn't have ITNOTK:ADST
The good news: They do have Dragon Wars which I predict will make a fine crappy movie substitute. Review to follow.

I was just stymied by Redbox's unexpected fit of discretion, is all.

If you look on imdb.com, the casts of his next few movies aren't quite so star-laden. There's Udo Kier, Lance Henrikson, and Danny Trejo, who gave their souls to the Crappy Scifi/Fantasy/Horror Movie Gods a long time ago (I write that with love, by the way). P.J. Soles is going to be in one, for those of you who remember Riff Randall and Rock 'n' Roll High School ("I'm hep, Daddy-o. I'm into the Ramones.")
Oh, and that TV chef Anthony Bourdain is going to be in one. His credit so far reads just "Scientist".

Why can't they explore the science of casting themselves in bad movies?
Edit: OH WAIT.
