So what do the "Eli Stone" fans think: divinely inspired visions, or hallucinations caused by his aneurysm?
Perhaps a better question is "Who here watches Eli Stone and loves it as much as I do?" If your answer is "I do not watch that show," an even better question would be "Why the heck not?!' Apart from Natasha Henstridge, who's performance as Eli's (thankfully) dumped fiancee has all the warmth and charm of a trout, the acting is some of the best I've seen in a LONG LONG time. The cast has insanely good chemistry all around (except for the aforementioned trout) and it is a genuinely hilarious show. It also has some of the best character development around, in the person of Eli Stone, subtly and ably portrayed by Jonny Lee Miller (Sick Boy from "Trainspotting"). The first season is over now, but if you get the chance to rent it, please give it a try.

I really wanted to watch Eli Stone when it first came out, but I've just been burned too often from this type of show by visits from the cancellation fairy during major cliffhangers (see: Early Edition, the Dead Zone) that I figured I'd wait and see if it survives to Season 2 before checking it out.
EDIT: Huh. Apparently Early Edition did have an actual ending and I just missed it. Oh well.

Was the Dead Zone cancelled? Wow, I thought it was still going. I only watched the first season, to be honest. Might sound odd, but once John Smith got rid of the cane (although he might've had it in the second season) I stopped liking it as much. Weird, huh? The season finale to Eli Stone was a pretty big cliffhanger, so I wouldn't blame you if you wanted to wait and see if there'd be a Season two (keep your fingers crossed!). But if it comes to DVD and then if there's a Season Two, you should please give it a try.

Yeah, USA announced in December that TDZ is not coming back for Season 7. Not that six seasons is a bad run by any means, but I would at least like to see a TV movie or something to wrap up. As it is, we're just left hanging.

I know they turned the first two episodes into like a TV movie, I have it on VHS. It's what got me interested in the first place.

Yea, Season Two is here! It has Sigourney Weaver as someone who may or may not be God! Victor Garber knows what to do! It has Katie Holmes in the next episode! Huh? Her appearance is NOT under her IMDB profile. I admit this is not the happiest piece of news. Let's just say she is not under my list of favorite actresses, but I'll give her the benefit of the doubt till I see her next week. The teasers for the episode do look interesting. Who knows, maybe I'll be jumping on the couch, too.

Okay, Katie Holmes was actually pretty good. In fact I'm actually excited by those rumors of her maybe becoming a recurring character. However, this does put in a kink in Eli's vision that he and Maggie get together eventually. Looking at the episodes and their little synopses on my Dish menu, apparently there's an episode where "Eli learns the truth about Maggie's fiancèe". If you asked me, I'd say that Eli should go for Grace, Holmes's character. One wonders how the writers will get her back to SanFran from Kenya. I hve a bunch of episodes recorded, but it's like I can't get the energy to watch them, or much of anything recently. Urgh.
