So I got a very pink DS Lite for my birthday (why pink? I have a weird sister in law...), and I'm musing over what games to get. I've already picked up Elite Beat Agents and Professor Layten, and have my eye on The World Ends With You and Puzzle Quest.
I'm not that interested in Zelda, New Super Mario Bros., or Mario Kart. Any DS owners have recommendations past these?

Didn't we do this already?
Good picks on EBA and Prof Layton. Both very fun. Puzzle Quest is repetitive in the end, but a really neat twist on the Bejewelled phenomenon.
Let me know if you end up getting The World Ends With You. I've been tempted, except I'm not sure I want to dedicate the time to it, and I know there's features you can only unlock when you connect to other players.
I use my DS mostly for 5 minute pick up and play stuff, so I've got lots of puzzle games. My favourites are:
Picross: Nintendo's classic logic game of numbers and pictures, an all time favourite of mine that I shall always play. CrossworDS: Crossword, anagram, and word search puzzles for budget price. Recent release, highly recommended if you're a word nerd. Sudoku Gridmaster: If you're into, y'know, Sudoku. Better than the reviews suggest.
Either of the Advance Wars games are really good if you're into turn based strategy. I've got AW Days of Ruin, the more recent one. Also Orcs & Elves is a game I can almost guarantee you'd love... old school Doom-style graphics, turn based combat in the first person, and a black humour streak a mile wide. Not to mention it's a budget title, I've seen it new for $15.
If you want action, the recent Ninja Gaiden was pretty fun, if repetitive. Great use of the 3D and touch capabilities of the DS.
New Super Mario Bros is a great throwback to the SNES SMB days, if that's of any appeal to get you back on the Mario bandwagon. Plays a lot like SMB3.
If you want to try something a little left of normal, Trauma Center is a surgical game that takes grotesque advantage of the touch abilities of the unit (owned it), and apparently the Apollo Justice and/or Phoenix Wright lawyer games are surprisingly fun (although I've never picked up either).
And hey, if anyone gives you a hard time about your (snicker) pink DS, just tell 'em it's for breast cancer. That'll show them.

Cool thanks man. TWEWY has some pretty positive reviews, and I do love me some Square RPG (if only they'd re-release Chrono Trigger). I'm not so much a crossword/soduku guy, but Professor Layton is proving great for very short bursts at night. I'm amazed how small the cartridges are and how much they can pack on them.
Funny enough, I have Orcs and Elves 2 on my cell phone, and yes, it's pretty fun.

I bought "The world ends with you" on a fluke. the combat takes some getting used to, but the game is pretty freakin rad nonetheless. I'm not that big a fan of RPG's, but this one is good. give it a month or two so you can pick up a used copy and not get blasted with a $43.00 price tag. heed my warning.
