Al's Indy review inspired me to post this... but I LIKE Shia Lebouf and am very happy with the way his career is going. I think the kid has a lot of talent. I first saw him in the Kiddie flick Holes (never saw that Even Stevens thing, I avoid Disney TV like the PLAGUE) and I thought he did a pretty darn good acting job in the movie. Then I saw him in Constantine and thought he was the best part of the movie... playing a side kick that WASN'T idiodically (I just made up a word!) annoying. Then I saw Indy 4. I yawned through most of it to be honest, Indy was never my thing.... ... but when Shia arrived riding in on a motorcycle EXACTLY like Marlon Brando in "The Wild One", I knew that the rest of the movie would be at least tolerable. I then saw a preview for his new movie coming up called Eagle Eye, which just looks awesome and mysterious. Even though he has a seemingly effeminate name, I fully support him moving into a leading man action role. I look forward to what he may do in the future.

You know, I like Shia LeBeouf, too! Even though I feel that Mike Nelson would hate me forever and spit on my grave if he knew this (Yes I watch WAY too many Rifftrax), I can't help but like him. I loved him back when I was young. He's the only reason I watched that stupid Hillary Duff show (Life with Lizzy? I dunno....). I didn't find him annoying in Transformers, either. I haven't seen Indy 4 yet so I can't say. Although I DO have to say that I understand how some people do find him frustrating and worthy of throwing shiny metal things at.
Most ironic moment for me: Watching the Jurassic Park Rifftrax and almost crying with laughter when Dennis Nedry (Wayne Knight) goes off on a crazy, hyperactive nonstop talking spree and Mike says "He must have gone to the Shia LeBeouf School of Acting." Perfect example of loving someone but being able to laugh at them.
Glad to hear I'm not alone. *hugs, AA style*

I like Shia LaBeouf as well. I thought he did as well as anyone could in his "That Kid Sidekick Who Must Be Annoying Because They're A Kid and A Sidekick" phase, thought he was great in A Guide to Recognizing Your Saints (one of the best things about the movie), and in Transformers (...for what that's worth *grumble*).
I was pleased by his performance in Indy 4, and thought he did a really great job playing off Harrison Ford, and a great job making Mutt a character in his own right.
Eagle Eye seems pretty darn intriguing from that trailer, and I'm excited for any new stuff he does (I think for a while there were rumors of him being Yorrick in a Y:The Last Man movie, and I thought that would be pretty cool, but I guess not to be).

I like Shia LaBeouf as well and- Holy crap he's two years younger than me!
I've finally crossed the point in my life where actors are younger than me... *sits in a corner and feels old*

I almost cried when I looked up the guy who plays Gaeta on BSG the other day (what?) and he's not only younger than me, but he's younger than my sister.

I like Shia too, and will always recommend him in The Greatest Game Ever Played, a golf movie that is not boring. If that's not a ringing endorsement, I don't know what is.
Oh, and he's my age. I feel like I've done very little when I compare the two lives. But then, I can proudly say I've never worked with Michael Bay, so I feel I've taken the high road.

For real, I was harping on the good looks of Skandar Keynes the other day and suddenly felt incredibly dirty when I realized that he is the same age as my sister.
