After being disappointed by Cars and, to a lesser extent, Ratatouille, it's such a relief that Wall-E is not only way better than either of those two, but is just a friggin' amazing movie!
Step aside, Cloverfield. This is my new favourite of the year. ;D

I was very impressed with it. It wasn't drop-dead hilarious, but gorgeously done, and moving to boot.

*SPOILER WARNING* When Eve fixes Wall-E at the end and he loses his personality, the kids in my theatre erupted in a collective wave of sobs and choruses of "I don't want Wall-E to die, Mommy!" ...it was pretty funny...

That's when you stand up and in a loud voice boom, "I WON'T LIVE IN A WORLD WHERE WALL*E IS DEAD! LET'S BURN IT ALL, KIDS! BURN IT ALLLLLL!"

He doesn't get invited to many movie theaters either. First person ever on a Netflix Home Detention plan.

I loved this movie hard. My favourite animated movie of all time is Beauty & the Beast (weird psych stuff aside, I wanted to be Belle), and this is the only one I've thought that could possibly be better.
SPOILERS AHEAD FOR WALL-E AND DOCTOR WHO SERIES 4, REALLY BIG ONES
I'd watched Journey's End the night before I saw Wall-E, and I cried so hard over Donna's fate my eyes swelled up. Then I got to the end of Wall-E. My 18 year old tough guy brother is practically bawling because, in his own words, "I was afraid it was going to be a sad ending!", and I'm sitting next to him thinking "Donna was bad enough, don't do this to me with Wall-E too!"
SPOILERS OVER
You know what it reminded me of more than anything in the beginning, weirdly enough? There Will Be Blood. Just letting the "camera" and the music tell the story, and the two openings are some of the most effective I've ever seen.
Oh, and the scene where Wall-E dances for Eve and she tries to imitate him? I thought I was going to choke, I laughed so hard. Man, doesn't Pixar ever get tired of churning out masterpiece after masterpiece?
