Just wanted to point out that the line "The hotties know to hold out for the real deal" = Justin wins. Forever.
That's why he's the Godfather.

This is one of the few Disney movies that I really liked too... oh well.

I have mixed feelings on "The Black Cauldron." This is one of the first movies I remember seeing in a movie theater that wasn't a revival of an earlier Disney film. I liked it then, especially goofy little Gurgi, but I don't think time has been that kind to it. There are way too many plot holes (from cramming several books together, probably), Taran's one of the blandest characters in the Disney lexicon, and the pig thing is just weird. (It's equally weird in the books, which I read in junior high.)
On the other hand, some of the animation does capture the genuinely spooky atmosphere (so much that I generally only watch this around Halloween). While Taran's not much of a lead character, some of the supporting cast is fun, including Gurgi, the Bard whose harp snaps strings when he fibs, and the freaky Horned King and his groveling reptile-like toady.
(And my video copy - and I believe the DVD - come with one of my favorite Donald Duck cartoons, "Trick or Treat," the one where Donald's nephews find a witch who makes a Don give up his Halloween goodies after he played tricks on the kids. That alone was worth the price of the video - I don't think it can be found elsewhere.)
