So, there was a thread over on another board that got me thinking:
There has been a trend of late of bringing back cancelled series in the form of big-screen films, but unlike the many update/remakes that have been done for years (Brady Bunch movies, Honeymooners, Mission: Impossible, Get Smart, etc.), these are the ones that continue the story. Original casts, original crew, follow ups and closures.
What would you like to see done next?
My list is fairly short: Angel--yes, the comics totally rock, but I would like my Lorne-fix to be a little more Andy Halletable. I'm just sayin'. . .
Slings & Arrows--only 18 eps over three years, and this little Canadian show about my preferred place of business (the theatrical arts) managed to captivate me into tears and laughter and anger, and all in the most loving way possible.
Freaks & Geeks--I would love to see that crowd just finishing college and checking into the career market.
The Tick--I'm talking the live action version here, and, yes, ok, maybe there's no way this comedy holds up for an hour and a half+, but a series of vignettes. . . or. . . or. . . a really, really good story? Ok, I admit it, I just like hearing Patrick Warburton deliver those Tick lines. Bring that show back, Fox. Damn you!

Any of these could turn into a huge "be careful what you wish for", so assume that the phrase "if done well" precedes the following:
Sports Night Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip Freaks and Geeks Jericho Married... With Children

Ah, drew, why not go for the Aaron Sorkin trifecta and through West Wing in there.
Ok, granted, it wasn't cut short like the other two, and I personally think it ended wonderfully, but I miss that show.
Heck, screw a full cast return (although I loved them all) and just give me a six or seven movie epic series in which Josh and Toby open a political consultation firm.
More Bradley Whitford! More Richard Schiff!

One more vote for Freaks and Geeks, and along a similar line, Undeclared. Two pieces of TV gold cut short waaaay before their time.

Farscape. Okay, I know they closed out the series and tied up loose ends, but my life is not complete because I haven't seen (or heard) a big screen starburst.
Highlander - the series. No, don't talk to me about "The Source". I don't want to hear about "The Source". "The Source" did NOT happen. Lalalalalala!!!!!! I'm in my happy place and I can't heeeaaar you!!!!

More Richard Schiff! LOL, I could so see that spinoff...and havens knows I'd plunk down the money to see it. Two caveats, though... --If I see Donna Moss onscreen *once*, I will hurl something at the screen. I *hated* her by the end of the show. --Someway, somehow, I want to see some more of Arnold Vinick...I had such a girl crush on him by the end. Not to mention Alan Alda just plays the bejesus out of that character... And as for other shows I'd like to see make the jump? More Firefly, thank you... And oh, they were talking for years about bringing Combat! to the big screen (with Bruce Willis as Sgt. Saunders, no less!), and I'd still kinda like to see that.

(honestly, the whole covering-up-the-age-of-the-actors could've been handled soooo much better...)

I totally forgot about Undeclared!!! Ooh, good one Pooly. I miss that show. It wasn't as good as F&G, but it was still way better than a lot of what's on TV today. You darn kids and yer reality shows!
