gossip girl

on the off-chance that anyone here actually watches 'gossip girl' i'm curious: is it any good?

it seems close enough to 'the oc' that i MIGHT enjoy it. and since i already know i'll be buying season 4 of 'house' tomorrow, it's no thing to be like "throw 'gossip girl' in my bag as well, please!"

but only if it's good. is it?

Okay, so I'm only a month & half behind on this topic, but I thought I'd just step in anyway. I started watching the show because I loved the books in high school, although I never had any particular interest in The OC & I was worried they would wander too far from the source material. I ended up loving it & I might like it even better than the books at this point. It's one of those shows that definitely gets better as it goes on.

Like I said before, I never got into The OC, but my sister (a huge fan of both) says that Gossip Girl could be a spin-off, replacing California beaches with Manhattan streets & adding a dash more shock & scandal. Plus, Leighton Meester looks a lot like Rachel Bilson.
