(In this case we're probably pushing the word "need" to its breaking point and beyond, but let's say as much as one can "need" to know about a long cancelled, probably-not-very-good show, I'm there.)
Anyway, the show I'm referring to aired on one of the major networks (Fox, maybe?) and was one of those scary story anthology shows that all the networks seem to periodically try out. Kind of in the same vein as Tales From The Crypt, only I seem to recall there being multiple stories per episode. I don't think it lasted for very long, and I don't remember when it aired, except I think I was around college age, so it probably would have been sometime within a few years before or after the turn of the millenium. The specific story I remember involved a DJ working the graveyard shift at a radio station, and he was the only one in the building. He kept getting calls from a weird listener, each call getting progressively more threatening, until the final reveal that, of course, the psycho caller was actually inside the station with him, ha ha ha the end. So, basically it was the old babysitter urban legend, but with a DJ in place of the sitter.
Anyway, for some reason I've never been able to get that particular episode out of my head. Does anyone remember it, or have any clues as to what the show might have been called?

First off: I don't remember this specific episode. BUT I'll throw out a couple of options that could be possible...
Beyond Belief: Fact or Fiction? was a Fox show hosted by Commander Riker and was a show that would tell a couple of stories then at the end of the show tell you out of the vignettes (whew fancy) which ones were based on an urban legend or a true story.
Gun was a show that told little morality tales and/or character studies with the only connecting thread between episodes being a gun. So the last episode someone would murder their boss and throw the gun into a grassy area by the highway, the next would open with a hobo finding the gun and pawning it, then a guy would buy it for his wife for protection, and so on. I think this one was ABC.
They were both short lived, and, according to imdb, 1997.

There was a new Twilight Zone circa 2002 but I think it was 1 story per episode. Also- Are You Afraid of the Dark? on Nickelodeon, can't remember if they did multiple stories per episode, but that story sounds right up their alley.

Whoa... you know, I actually recall that Fact or Fiction show, with the multiple stories and you had to guess which one was "real." It's not the one I'm thinking of, but kudos for making me remember it!
Alas, none of the others mentioned are the one I'm thinking of. It was definitely horror, not sci-fi. And as much as I loved AYAOTD?, this one was on a major network and wasn't geared toward kids.

Oh, don't grovel! If there's one thing I can't stand, it's people groveling... And don't apologize! Every time I try to talk to someone, it's "I'm sorry" this, and "forgive me" that, and "I'm not worthy"...don't thank me... thank the Internet. yay!
