Nope, Kitty's been Jewish since Claremont created her in the '80s. It actually nearly got her killed, but also saved her life, when the X-Men squared off against Dracula. (For that matter, Wolverine's lack of faith caused trouble for him as well.)

Thanks all. Now that I see it up in lights, I've noticed a couple of spots where it could've used more polish, but I'm pretty pleased with it overall.

I'm actually close to having collected 10 more Moments, so look for "The Other 10 Most Impactful Moments in Animation" sometime in the future.

I'm going to guess Dominion Tank Police, and. . .Brave Little Toaster? I was going to say Akira, but it's my understanding that everyone on the planet has seen Akira, regardless of anime fandom or lack thereof.

In other news: Truly, you have a dizzying X-men intellect. Regarding Kitty and Dracula: Did the Star of David work because Kitty believes in it, or because it's silver?

Star of David. It was established in Drac's own series (Tomb of Dracula... fun fact: ToD is the longest-running comic series ever [70 issues] to feature a villain as the main character) that religious objects from various different religions are capable of causing vampires harm, but only if the wielder truly has faith in that religion. (Marvel added on to the rule in a later series, that the object will only be effective if the religion existed when the vampire was mortal. So, for instance, the vampire Varnae, who was alive during the Age of Conan, is immune to crosses, Stars of David, etc. because he predates all modern world religions.)

As for the animation, I have actually never seen Akira. (Though I'm not sure I've ever seen Brave Little Toaster either, come to think of it...)
