Not to take anything away from the debut of our two latest staffers (welcome, Heather and Courtney!), but I'm pleased to announce that Monday saw the introduction of a third new mutant as Lady Luck delivered our first child, Baby Luck. Mother and daughter are both doing well and will be coming home tomorrow, happy and healthy. I'll post a picture when I have a chance, but in the meantime, I wanted to share the news with all you guys.
Now if you'll excuse me, I'm off to enjoy the last sleep I'll get for eighteen years.

The fruit of Drew's loins proves worthy of this world! Ack! No offense to Drew, but in the future may we steer away from mention of his loins...or anyone's loins for that matter? Loin-free's a good plan. Let's go with that. Now if we could just curb Lissa's paddling and slash fiction I think I could manage to reverse the psychological damage before it's too late! And Drew...really. As for me I take NO offense to the introduction of your new darling. That's amazing news! Until she's writing hilarious movie reviews I'll feel no jealousy. EDIT: And if my life's affect on my mother has been indicative of anything I wouldn't count on getting any sleep again if I were you. Ever.

Congrats! Start cleaning that shotgun, Drew Um, unless we decided on that arranged mutant marriage. Then please put the shotgun away, and I promise I'll keep whichever son away from her until they're both thirty. ::totally ignoring Heather's comments about paddling and slashfiction, even though I totally behave myself. Most of the time. Sometimes.::

AWESOME DREW!!
Wow, all these mutants spawning. Soon, there will be a whole race of you!
Maybe some kind of Cannibilistic humanoid underground dwellers or something.

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ahhh, once again Mutant HQ will be filled with the scent of sweet talcum powder and rancid diapers that contain the most unholy excrescences imaginable to anyone who has not yet been a parent. (Good thing we hired those new employees to empty the garbage cans!)
Just please don't get all out of sorts if Baby Luck is not yet interacting with you in a meaningful intellectual capacity in the next week or so. Not that I know anyone who ever worried about that. *coughlissasnortcough* Nope. Not me.
(heh. Sleep in eighteen years? Optimist!)

Congratulations! But just to be clear, she won't be getting hazed, will she? Because as much as I would like to push off my car-washing duties (in late October,) doing so to a new-born just seems cruel.

DarthShady, just be glad Kyle isn't making you wear a bikini and get back to work I need to go kick Sue's butt for bringing up stupid stuff I worried about in public. And Drew, you WILL worry about stuff that three short years later, seems completely stupid to you as one spawn stares out the window at a passing garbage truck and the other crawls into your bookshelf. I do think we should make a movie list for the new daddy to watch, though, to prepare him for the years of estrogen ahead. How about we start with Barbie Mariposa and Her Butterfly Fairy Friends??? >

Congratulations, buddy! Time to start practicing the 'you're-taking-my-daughter-out-on-a-first-date-huh?' glower! Dude, NO guy is going to mess with a dad that has Drew's eyes. That's powerful mojo, right there.

Want proof of Drew's mojo? As soon as I said this:
not-so-quietly gloating that I have boys and will never be subjected to Barbie movies, Gilbert Gottfried shows up on Sesame Street.
Ouch.

Long distance karma-type pwnage! It's true, by the way. Drew's eyes could emasculate would-be boyfriends to the future Teen-Luck at fifty yards. Liss, you wouldn't kick a bald woman, would you?
