I spend Saturday mornings watching cartoons, and now I use my son as a convenient excuse. In any event- did anyone else catch this? They made me think Aquaman was cool, today. It was good stuff.

I saw an episode tonight, a Christmas team-up with Red Tornado. It was enjoyable... certainly nothing on B:TAS, but it captures the vibe of Batman stories from the 50s and 60s, rather than the 70s and 80s. Nothing wrong with that, it makes for some entertaining, lighthearted stuff. Kind of weird to hear Oswald's voice coming from Batman's mouth, I kept expecting Drew Carey to show up and call him an idiot.
Never heard of the villain, so I assume they're making up new baddies instead of using classic DC villains, or maybe a mix of both.

They are using lesser known villains and also making some new ones. Also using a lot of more minor folks for team ups instead of the Superman/Wonderwoman types. Last week Oceanmaster and Black Manta tried to team up to kill Aquaman, but them Manta gets all "duh Orm, Ima kill you, too!" Completely agreed on no comparison to the animated series. I like the use of the really old stuff, though. I got into comics by reading through boxes of my mom's stuff from when she was growing up... so I've always been a sucker for the silver age stuff.
