I don't know about you, but I love watching the way every day events are made into insurmountable obstacles on TV infomercials. Just can't seem to work a potato peeler?

Is every day a life or death battle with your seat belt strap?

Do you nearly lacerate and scald yourself trying to open jars?

And guess what? Now there's a product for those of you who are confounded by the subtle intricacies of a blanket.

The Snuggie makes them look like they're members of a doomsday cult. I must have one.

And the Tiddy Bear commercial... wow, with the obvious mispronunciation going on and the groping nature of bears and their placement... that's just dirty.

The Snuggie people look like The Followers of the Apocalypse from the Fallout games, and it's so nice to see that "old fashion feeling is hard and wasteful" but holding the potatoes under a steady stream of perfectly good drinking water isn't.

A guy on the morning show where I heard about this this morning made that same observation. Picking up an everyday object, selling it as something slightly different, and giving it a stupid name: Just another reason to love infomercials.
