Did you just diss Cowboy Bebop right there? *sigh* No... of course not. I would never, in a million years, dream of disparaging... such a... hurmflph... zzzzzzzzzzzzzz... In all seriousness, I have nothing but happy love joy feelings all the time for Cowboy Bebop, by which I mean, ambivalence. If I really wanted to barbecue a sacred cow, I'd be much more apt to go after Evangelion. Oh by the way; It's spelled "buttobi", and you may or may not be a naughty boy. But hey, at least you've never accidentally linked to porn. Okay people, the midnight hour approaches (remember: Eastern), so I'm going to go ahead and give you your hint now, followed by a super-combo hint-cluster that involves all of the remaining entries and will blow your mind. First, your hint. Ahem: mgrck Yep, that's it. And with a couple of steps of research, it will lead you right to the answer for Entry Four. Now for the related hint-cluster: The lead in Entry Four has green hair, as does the lead in Entry One, wherein Hilary Haag provides the voice of a blonde supporting character, much as she does in Entry Two, an anime centered around robot maids, as is Entry Three, wherein Bridget Hoffman voices the lead, as opposed to Entry Five, which has her cast in a supporting role of vaguely similar appearance and function (she's credited as Ellen Wilkinson in both instances). Booyah.

Actually, the whole thing's on Eastern time, so everybody gets to guess again in about five minutes.
Tell you what, Star. Just to satisfy my curiosity, I'd like you to do me a wee favor. Go ahead and take your one guess, and then PM me as many of the remaining answers as you think you know. You'll still only get the one point, and I won't tell you how many of the others you get right (although I am not above hinting-via-reaction); this is purely for the sake of me seeing just how good you are.
EDIT: And by five minutes, I mean about three minutes ago.

Oh yeah! The title that yells at you!
And a special series for me, as it was the first one to ever temporarilty mess up my life. Every anime fan has at least one*, and no fan's repertoire is truly complete without one.
In regards to your PM: Most impressive. You didn't get them all, but you do indeed have skillzz (with two z's!).
*Heather: I don't mean to be presumptuous, but based on our conversation, and considering that ending-anger is often a core component of life messer-uppers, I think Cowboy Bebop may be yours.

I'm worthy of zz! Yay!
Depending on what you mean by messed up: While it wasn't a series, Perfect Blue messed me up, and not in a good way.
Cowboy Bebop was the first to make me cry though. Okay? I admit it, ya happy now? Huh?!
I still love it, it's still in my top five, but I had the advantage to see it pre-Cartoon Network airing, blow up, and resulting backlash, so I'm sure that made a difference.

All Purpose Cultural Catgirl Nuku Nuku DASH! Blast. That was the one guess I wasn't totally sure about (but knowing what I know about you, I thought you either had it or needed to have it). I have half a mind to try to win this contest just so I can vengefully inflict something truly awful on you just for that comment. I've been too nice to you contest guys with my movie choices. On that note...have you watched Battlefield Earth? I own that one, so I could at least skip out of your limitations by sending it to you personally. You know, I have a guess that I really want to get off my chest, but in light of your hints I'm not sure about it anymore. So...Steel Angel Kurumi. And, well, Cowboy Bebop's ending didn't mess up my life. Entirely. I don't stay up at night over it!!!! I swear...

Cowboy Bebop was the first to make me cry though. Okay? I admit it, ya happy now? Huh?! I could only sit in stunned silence for a few hours before finally managing to type out shabby messages to people, venting my upsetedness. wha hurm? I wasn't aware of any of the blow up and backlash. When did all this go down? I borrowed my friend's copy of CB last year and had to finish the last few episodes online. I never got into the anime community so I'm completely ignorant of all of which you speak.

(but knowing what I know about you, I thought you either had it or needed to have it). I swear I thought I destroyed all those incriminating photos. Who've you been talking to? Well, you see, back when it first aired on Cartoon Network's Adult Swim block it was a BIG DEAL (for a couple of reasons, but we won't get into it yadda yadda). So then everyone's talking about it. And talking about it. Aaaand talking about it. Seriously. Blow up. Well then people get sick of hearing about it, or, because it's been played up so much and often the ending is blown, it lacks the impact and people are left feeling "meh" about it, and there was a big group of people who didn't like it just because it was popular whether or not they'd seen it. Backlash.

I should have clarified that that was directed to Kaleb. This just send a whirlwind of terrible images racing through my mind. Ah. I see. I figured as much, but now my curiosity is at rest. At least about this issue....

I swear I thought I destroyed all those incriminating photos. Who've you been talking to? Yikes! Seeing as that was directed to Kaleb, I find myself asking (in spite of better judgment) is there something going with you two I don't know about? I don't have it, but "(but knowing what I know about you, I thought you either had it or needed to have it)." out of context is really kinda funny. An opportunity I couldn't pass up if you will.

Is one of them Metropolis? Again, another excellent guess, and another title that's on my check-out list, but not one I own as of yet. Depending on what you mean by messed up: While it wasn't a series, Perfect Blue messed me up, and not in a good way. Ah yes. That one was a bit of a brainf... intercourse-have, wasn't it? Blast. That was the one guess I wasn't totally sure about (but knowing what I know about you, I thought you either had it or needed to have it). Yeah, it does kind of have everything I go for right there in the title, doesn't it? Purpose. Culture. A catgirl. The Japanese word for "warm"; twice, because I'm forgetful. And also, Mrs. Dash adds pep to any meal. Not only do I own Nuku Nuku DASH! in box set form, I also have the three individual volumes, and a second box set of it as part of the mega-box-set that collects the various Nuku Nuku series into one thing (referred to as the Whole Kitten Kaboodle Collection. Wakka wakka!!). As for why I have three different versions of exactly the same thing; rest assured that my reasons are completely valid, and you need to stop asking questions. Heather, if you were a man, you'd be the man. As your reward, have a dance remix of the original Steel Angel Kurumi's already insidious theme, produced for Steel Angel Kurumi 2 (which was, sadly, crap). Seriously, whoever had the idea of putting the SAK theme to a techno beat is too dangerous to be left alive. Oh, and as long as I'm throwing youtube clips around, check check check it out... Good gravy! You didn't even give me a chance to use my Genesis "Invisible Touch" hint! Somebody agrees with me!Rated R for extreme yuckiness and a naked butt.

Is one of them Metropolis? Oh, great. Thanks for that reminder, katoot. I've been meaning to see this. Netflix, away! Kaleb, I stopped asking questions about you long ago. These days I just smile and nod. WOOT! And on SAK2:I never really care for reincarnations of animes.
