I just had to tell everyone about this, so I registered for just this one post.
A Donnie Darko sequel, S. Darko, is made and will be released straight to DVD and Blu-Ray April 28th.

There is also a fake "Teaser Trailer" floating around on the net, but it is not from the movie studio, it's "fan" made. If you ever get the chance to watch it note that it contains no new footage from the new movie.
However, according to Donnie Darko creator:
"To set the record straight, here's a few facts I'd like to share with you all -- I haven't read this script. I have absolutely no involvement with this production, nor will I ever be involved."
So if you choose to, you can safely ignore that this travesty has ever existed.
P.S. I'm getting better, I just need more time.
