Now that Dollhouse season 2 is due: who will be watching? And is there a risk it will get too, let's say complicated, like we discussed in the Heroes thread?

It's always possible, but I was pretty happy with Season 1 once it found it's feet. I'll be there.

I'll totally be there. I really enjoyed Season 1. Although, note to Joss Whedon: when ripping off movies, Surviving the Game isn't the best of choices. Pick something GOOD.

I'll totally be there. I really enjoyed Season 1. Although, note to Joss Whedon: when ripping off movies, Surviving the Game isn't the best of choices. Especially repeatedly. *coughslayerfestcough*. Btw., this is really interesting. For the record: I liked Season 1 very much as well and, although I see the danger mentioned above, I'm optimistic for the next seasons. |

The next episode is directed by Two-Takes Frakes. Seems they are serious about keeping an eye on the budget.  |

Yay, excellent news! There will be a Dollhouse comic book!
At least, I assume there will be one. That's what Whedon does when he gets cancelled, right? Awesome, Fox! Thank you!

Is anyone seriously surprised? I think the fact that it was renewed for a second season is a lot more surprising that it didn't make to a third. The ratings were very low last season as it was and the fact that they kept it on Friday night slot paired with a lame comedy as the lead-in certainly did not help things for the second season. At least I'm happy to hear that Joss was given enough notice to wrap the show to a wrap. It would have been horrible if it ended the way TTSCC.
