(Chronicles of the Heroic Knight had one of my favorite openings ever [but of course! it's one of Yoko Kanno's] even if it's some pretty steep false advertising as to what the quality of animation in the actual show is) I actually bought the CHK boxed set based solely on the opening, and was a tad burned by how disappointing the actual show is. This, largely as a result of the killing-off of the most interesting character a third of the way through, followed by the appearance of a slew of douchey* new faces. Yeah, that was brilliant. On the bright side, the Welcome to Lodoss Island shorts alone are worth the price of admission. *The exception being Greevus. He is badass.

mahoromatic=weird science The bad news: Not the right answer. The good news: You've eliminated the other two series it could've gone with.

Hyper Police = Kitten's Got Claws Yep. Bonus points to this series for having a catgirl lead, penalties for otherwise being a tad too furry for my tastes, and for a somewhat stinky dub. All Purpose Cultural Catgirl Nuku Nuku=Weird Science You got it! I have, on occasion, remarked aloud to myself and random passers-by about how the process of Nuku Nuku's creation is never shown in any of the continuities, on account of it would be gross, but that I could stand it if it was done in montage form, and featured either the song suggested here, or this old favorite. I mean, come on! Kyusaku is already in a scrapyard when he gets the idea! All that's lacking is an acetylene torch and an excess of bling. So... anyone wanna take a stab at the last one?

Well Eunice has bested me once again. Blast! That being the case, my putting Mahoromatic with The Final Countdown serves no purpose, other than to have me lose by one point instead of two. It's the little things in life...

Well I think we've maybe answered the question of how many general anime (as opposed to specific show) fans we have.
Now to think of a title....

The Company of WolvesChanging tactics, since just bad movies won't work, I'm picking a movie chock full of symbolism -- Feminist symbolism (to make up for all the cat girls you know). Not to mention it has a small, but greatly devoted cult following. Good luck, Kaleb!
