Okay, so who needs network TV when I have these two on DVD?
I swear, I was Sig Hansen in a past life and am the female Jason Hawes in this life.
Anyone else even casually interested in these shows?

My friend Jackie is obsessed with Ghost Hunters, and has dragged me ghost hunting several times in our local cemeteries (and once, terrifyingly, in an abandoned deathtrap that used to be a mental institution). I've seen a few episodes of the show and can't help wondering if they've ever found anything at all. Do they let shows run for five seasons if every episode ends in failure? It is fun to watch, though.

It is fun to watch, though. Oh, they've had a few really spectacular finds over the years...Leap Castle in Ireland, Bedford Armory, Eastern State, the Birdcage Theater...they've all produced some pretty awesome stuff, and those are just the ones I remember off the top of my head. It is a blast indeed to watch, and I've met several of them at cons and they're all pretty awesome guys.

I admit that I loves me some Deadliest Catch.
I watched Ghost Hunters with a friend when it first came on, but then it got a little soap opera-y with that one guy (And...y? Maybe?). And then it started grating on me. Then, just to completely put me off the show, SciFi started goofing around with editing, and it was like 'Yeesh, why am I even watching this?'

Yeah, Andy was like nails on a chalkboard, and you won't catch me watching Ghost Hunters International because of it. But I'm just too much of a fan of the Fab Four (Jason, Grant, Steve, and Tango) to totally give it up. I admit that I loves me some Deadliest Catch. Okay, fess up...who's your favorite boat? I'm a Northwestern gal...though I have a soft spot for the Cornelia Marie too.

Well, depending on the season, it's definitely between the Northwestern and the Cornelia Marie, with the Time Bandit as a third (extra points for a cool boat name!). Edgar Hansen has to be my individual favorite.
Plus there's Mike Rowe's dulcet tones.

Edgar Hansen has to be my individual favorite. Ah yes...Edgar cracks me up. The man's totally insane, of course, but a hella lot of fun. On the other hand, Blake over on the Maverick needs to be hit over the head with a cod a few times, but that's just me. By the way, I don't have cable, so I'm always a week or two behind on DC...have they done any updates on Corneila's Captain Phil? Last I heard, he was relieved for the season...

I have to admit, I love both of these shows. I'm a little behind on Deadliest Catch, but it's the rare episode of Ghost Hunters that I fail to see. I don't like GHI nearly as much as TAPS though. Without Jason and Grant, it's just no fun.
On DC, I've got to say the Cornelia Marie is my favorite, but the Time Bandit is a close second. The guys working on the Northwestern deserve medals though. Sig is an absolute slave driver! IIRC, Phil is off for the season, but phones in. Murray is the skipper.

I greatly miss my Wednesday TV schedule of Master Blasters, South Park and Ghost Hunters. Man, that was an awesome summer. Then they moved Master Blasters to 2 am and sometimes 6pm on weekends. Apparently a show about rocket science is too scientific for Sci-Fi.
