Oh, yeah. I've known about that for a while. Probably should have mentioned it. As long as Ramis and Aykroyd are on board they'll make sure it is done well.
Along with the Ghostbusters game and series (finally) coming to DVD, Ghostbusters seems to be coming back to the frontlines. The same thing happened ten years ago, when the spectacular DVD loaded with gooey extras was released. Thus my theory is Ghostbusters returns every ten years or so.

I actually was really hoping Ghostbusters would have gotten the 2-disc treatment. I'm a huge sucker for those hour-long featurettes and so a dinky little 10-minute thing didn't do much for me. Sony did longer featurettes for the William Castle movies (which I highly recommend) than they did for Ghostbusters.

I would have to disagree. I hate paying for the extra disc I know I'll never use. There's just something about having to willingly put in the extra features disc that makes the inner laziness in me just go to imdb and read about it. Ghostbusters has just the right amount of extra stuff, like interviews with the Special Effects team and other people and the excellent commentary. It was the first DVD I ever bought and I thought they'd all be as good.
I was sorely, sorely disappointed soon after.
