I really liked his classic role in On the Waterfront. I gotta go back and watch A Streetcar named Desire.

I'll always think of him as the priest who gives the fiery "death comes to us all" speech in the Disney "Pollyanna." He'll be missed.

I thought I commented on this one already...
Karl Malden was one of those actors that, no matter the size of the role or the quality of the project, I can't remember him ever just calling in a performance. One of my favorite movies (along with the already mentioned ones) is him as Herbie in Gypsy. He just brings so much heart to it, and his face when he gives Rose the ultimatum and she doesn't choose him... It's good.
