Weird

This isn't really new thread worthy, but I didn't have anywhere else to put it...

So I've moved into a new place. I haven't had any problems sleeping. On the fourth night in (Wednesday night/Thursday morning) I keep having these strange dreams about a man walking around my room and looking at my stuff. It kept sorta halfway waking me up.

Weird dream, wake up enough to see there isn't anyone in the room, go back to sleep. Rinse repeat.

Then I dream this guy is by the desk looking at my computer, which is in sleep mode. Suddenly my computer comes out of sleep mode all by itself (the fan has dust in its workings and hums loudly) at the same time I'm having this crazy dream. Not very cool.

I turned it all the way off with the thought that 'okay, if it comes on by itself again, then there might be something going on' and just watched TV for an hour 'til I was a little less spooked.

Didn't have anymore dreams, but that's pretty weird right?

Funny you should say that. For weeks (if not longer) I've kept dreaming we had a Weird Dream Thread.

For your mystery, look for the simple explanation: Has the previous tenant moved out already?

Well Eunice, as a former resident of Maryland (about 15+ years) I can tell you it's lousy with ghosts. Just tell Phantom Dennis to restrict the use of your laptop to daytime hours.

Well, to update this last week:

The computer woke up again same day and time.

Also had a CD player turn down its own sound. The volume is displayed and by the time I noticed it was getting quieter, it was down to 5 and I watched it go all the way to mute.

Lately when I go to bed, I hear things being moved around on the tops of my dresser and bookshelves, but when I turn on the light nothing's moved.

I'm unsure whether to be sympathetic, or to go ahead and admit that I find the whole affair kind of awesome and interesting, but am glad it's you and not me.

So, I'll let you pick whichever you like better.
