Capital work, Mike! (Sorry, tried to leave a comment but the comments section is closed.) Excellent list, and you get major nerd cred points for the inclusion of Zoom and especially the shout-outs to Professor Zoom and Rival. I can't speak to Doctor Who, but great job on the comic-related ones. I will quibble that Venom is not, and never will be, Spider-Man's actual archenemy -- that title can only be held by the Green Goblin -- but he certainly qualifies for dark reflection status.
Man, reading that article, now I need to go reread Zoom's first appearance. I just love the notion that he puts the Flash through hell in the interest of making him a better hero, and actually thinks they'll be friends again when it's all over.
"I've been given a gift. A gift I can pass on to The Flash. In order for him to become stronger he must have the ultimate tragedy. He must face his ultimate opposite. A man who has lost his pride, confidence and identity to tragedy. A man who will run him down a hellish road and feel no guilt in bringing him there. Destiny has brought us here, Flash. From friend to foe. There is only one type of man who can make you a better hero. One type of man who can reverse your twisted thinking. One man. Who fits the profile? I fit the profile."
"Ineedtomakeyou into a hero that willtakeany riskneeded. You must learn. To see what it's like to live with loss. So that you will do anything in your power to help people. Peoplelikeme. I'm making you a better hero, Flash."
"Wallyismyfriend. Iiiii'mmm helpingggghimmmmmm face fear."
