Rich and the answers that were given in Family Feud inspired me, because I think it's an interesting question and people don't often say who you think they would. And I'm bored. As much as I lech over Ewan McGregor and Josh Hartnett, they wouldn't be my top choices. I just don't know what I'd say or ask them. After watching interviews I think talking to Ewan McGregor would be a challenge to keep him on a single subject, and I have an uncanny feeling that watching a spelling bee between Josh Hartnett and Keanu Reeves would be REALLY fun. Plus, I'm happily married and they probably don't look half as good in person anyway. My top choice of the moment would have to be Mel Gibson, because I would love to hear more about The Passion straight from him and think he'd be fascinating to talk to. He seems very intelligent and articulate, and he's had a different sort of career. Anyone else have one? Liss Bored at 6:30. That's an accomplishment.

My top choice would be Natalie Portman. Now I know someone out there is going to say that I only want to meet her because I am an obsessive Star Wars fanboy......and I am. But that's not the only reason. I've wanted to meet her since I saw her in Beautiful Girls. I think she's a very talented actress, exceptionally smart (She's is going to Harvard after all). Plus she's hot. Like really hot.
Coming in a close second would be Gigi Edgley. Some of you may remember her as Chiana on Farscape.

I'd love a lunch date with any of a number of established Hollywood stars. Just think of the stories! I'm thinking anyone from this list would make my day: - Lauren Bacall
- Anthony Hopkins
- Michael Caine
- Peter O'Toole
- Sean Connery
If we were talking more recent stars, I'd have to go with folks like: - Kevin Spacey
- Jeff Bridges
- Diane Keaton
- Bette Midler
- Dirk Benedict (really!)
- Mr. T
- Anne Hathaway
- Anthony Edwards
Of course, my all-time favorites list (in other words, it would take some serious bending of the space-time continuum) is simple: Jimmy Stewart, Andy Kaufman & John Belushi. All together

Interestingly (or not), I've met Michael Caine. Although all I got out of it was that he drinks light beer (Sol), pays with cash, doesn't mind signing Oddbin's reciept paper, and appreciates being recognized for a movie other than the Italian Job (my managers words' "Hey, you're that guy from the Italian Job"). Oh, and he's very polite. Ok, so maybe it's not the stuff of a lurid hollywood expose...

We're Americans, Robert, we don't get your quirky British irony.
Who wouldn't want to meet such Hollywood stars as Michael Caine, Sean Connery, and Peter O'Toole? Maybe British people wouldn't want to, but every moviegoing American loves these Hollywood stars.

Gee, I'm brand new here (hope there aren't any weird initiation rituals) and I get the irony. I'm even an American. Not sure I'd meet Anthony Hopkins though, even out of character. I have a feeling I'd be using the wrong fork and he'd snigger genteelly into his napkin. This isn't stratospheric star quality, but I think I'd really enjoy meeting Richard Dean Anderson. He doesn't seem to take himself too seriously. (And come on... McGyver and Jack O'Neill in the same package? I wouldn't mind knocking back a pint with Ewan McGregor either. He looks like fun. Sue

Justin, fetch the Initiation Stick, we've got a new one here...and its a girl! No, no hazing here, we're all very friendly and nice. Unless you have some form of insanely powerful love of a certain Japanese kids cartoon. Then we might have to have words Welcome to the forums, Sue, and enjoy your stay. - Mutant Rich Signing with my official title because people don't always associate the username with the person

Hubbyman and I formulated our "celebrities are we allowed to run away with when they arrive at the front door demanding that we leave our normal boring lives and spend forever with them naked in bed" lists a long time ago. It's not really the same as my "celebrities I'd like to have lunch with" list, but they're close.
I'm keeping the naked in bed list to myself. Celebrities I'd like to shoot the breeze with over drinks and dinner. 1) John Cusack/Jeremy Piven 2) Jack Black/Kyle Gass 3) David Cross/Bob Odenkirk 4) Trey Parker/Matt Stone
I apparently have an affinity for insanely hilarious male duos. Weird.

Wait wait wait... you expect us to believe the good Mr Cusack is NOT on the naked in bed list?
Puh, SHAW, I say.

That's one *crowded* bed. And I bet they get crumbs and stuff in the sheets, since they can never leave, even to eat.

I'm only using people who are alive.
Jim Carrey (Heck, I've really liked him my whole life) John Cleese (Monty Python. 'Nuff said.) Kevin Spacey (he's been consistantly good)

I'd probably want to meet either Seth Green or David Bowie. They're both immensely talented, and, from the interviews I've read of them, quit eloquent. Seth Green would probably be the most fun to hang out with; Bowie is the weird psuedo-intellectual type that would probably end up starting some sort of odd debate (the man's amazingly well-read). Keanu Reeves might be fun to have a conversation with, if just to see if he's really as brain-dead as he appears on screen.
