Waiting on pins and needles for over a month and then finally getting the e-mail saying you've been accepted into your university's English program.

...working from home thanks to the snowstorm. Screw you, clients, I'm wearing slippers! Pansy. My town's had over 100 inches of snow this winter. (Bet your slippers are fuzzy, pink and shaped like bunnies.)

Aw, do I detect a note of bitterness? It's okay, Sue- I'm sure that if your boss told you the business was closed, you'd drive in anyway just to show how tough you are. As for me, I will attempt to soldier on with my wussiness. -D

Aw, do I detect a note of bitterness? Not at all. In fact, I came in on my day off this week to help my boss shovel. ;D I love the snow! I love winter! This is the "happiness is" thread! ;D ;D ;D Yippee!!!! *Drifts away to sharpen the axe.*

And with that, I'd have to suggest that happiness is Guido getting some exercise?

Watching Billy Joel accidentally drop his mic stand into the front row in Milwaukee and having them toss it back to him. I died laughing!

Buying tickets to see Rush. Hooray for nerdy Canadian prog-rock! When did Rush become prog rock? Methinks I missed out on an opportunity here... I had wanted to form a Rush cover band back in the late 80's, but they weren't getting the following at that point. The Rush cover band's name? Glad you asked.... we were gonna call it Red Sector A. I heard that the latest album was really good, I need to check it out.

Well, don't quote me on the "prog rock" thing. I figured their elaborate instrumentals and Geddy Lee's infatuation with synthesizers qualified them for such a label. And yes, Snakes and Arrows is an album worth getting, very much so. Now you've got me thinking about possible Rush cover band names... the Modern Day Warriors... Nobody's Heroes... eesh, looks like I should be heading over to the "you know you're a geek when" thread.
