Glad it went well, J. I got an invite to the Pirate Party, bless your wife, but living on the other side of the continent has its disadvantages. Nice of her to think of me, though. My letter should follow, by the way, so if you're sealing them all in an airtight container or something, hold off a couple of days.

It's cool -- she basically stole my address book and wrote everyone in it to invite them. Which, I assume, includes a few people in Japan as well.
The letters were really awesome and uplifting, and we're still getting them in. I have a nice binder to put them in, soon to go in my giant treasure chest.
Caramel and I just got back from Canada and saw the famous lions, rhinos and cheetahs there. Not to mention a baboon that climbed all over my car. Lovely place, Canada.

Yeah, the letter... tell Caramel I'm sorry, Justin, between honeymooning and trying to get the house in order, I misplaced her request. Totally my bad. But soon as I find it, it'll be forthcoming. Hang in there, boss!
(And I'll see your baboon story and raise you one: while driving through Six Flags Animal Safari several years back, a monkey climbed onto my passenger side mirror, exposed himself to my sister, then peed all down the side of my car. Little bastard!)

Happiness is thinking you've read all your library books and discovering one while cleaning. Bonus: it's not overdue. Double bonus: It's The Science of Discworld 2.

Happiness is watching the lightning from a thunderstorm while cuddling next to someone you care about.

Happiness is hearing that final bell ring and knowing you've got a full summer ahead of you.
A wise man once said, "School's out for the summer. School's out forever."
And that wise man was Alice Cooper.

Happiness is watching the Shining for the first time ever. Not at all scary. But incredibly entertaining. Only part that weirded me out was the when Wendy was running through the overlook hotel for the first time and there was a old guy and and something in a bearsuit with a pig mask on.That was weird.

Opening my front door after a long day at work and hearing my cat's bell ringing as she jumps off my bed and runs down the stairs to meet me...
Now, if I could only train her to bring beer with her, that would be bliss.
Dogs have masters. Cats have servants.

I don't suppose this is 'warning' worthy, it's not explicit:
An overcast day on a secluded beach, eating tuna fish on wheat bread sandwiches (mine's with mustard and freshly applied sour-cream-n-onion potato chips inside), drinking V8, listening to Cocteau Twins on a boombox, while a perfectly cool, healthy breeze blows, with an incredibly gorgeous guy. Then, every once in awhile, huge bursts of maddeningly powerful thunder erupt in the sky (after the music has played through), and we make love to the pounding over our heads, and as we reach point of final ecstasy, it starts to rain (by then, the boombox has been shut away in a waterproof box) in a strong, steady stream over us.
A day in paradise, basically. But I'd settle for happiness as : meeting one of my absolute favorite filmmakers (Dario Argento, David Cronenberg, Gregg Araki). And I could say, if I were to meet Bjork, Madonna, Marilyn Manson, or Kathleen Hanna - I could die happy, then and there.

I think you're really onto something. I'd go one further and say, all the world's babies napping. Give the mothers of the world some peace.

Happiness is eating an honest-to-goodness fried baloney sandwich for the first time in a long time. That would be two slices of baloney, fried in a pan (NOT a microwave), with a thin layer of mustard on one of the bread slices.
Oh, the joys of being a Southerner.
