11:00 pm. The air conditioner dies. It's still about 90 degrees outside and it's a one story house, so sleeping with the windows open probably not too bright an idea.
Having to go to work the next day bright and early after having not slept at all because it was to hot to sleep.

meeting someone (usually and girl) at a movie you DON'T want to see at all, buying the ticket, and then they don't show up and you have to watch this horrible, horrible movie alone.
