Okay, kids. New game time!
Welcome to the Mutant Scavenger Hunt. This is a non-prize game (like the ones Rich used to run, except I'm not going to promise you a prize and THEN tell you I don't have one), you're just competing for glory. Here are...
THE RULES
- any member of the Forum can play, including Mutants
- I will post a list of five items, actions, characters, etc. Your goal is to name five different movies that contain each item and describe how it appears. (eg. if I say "a shrubbery", you could reply with "Monty Python's Holy Grail - Arthur delivers a shrubbery to the Knights Who Say Ni"). Both parts of your answer must be correct
- a maximum of FIVE POSTERS can reply once to each List. If you're sixth in line, you get nada
- after five posters have responded (or a reasonable amount of time, usually 24 hours, goes by), I will update the score. I will try and do this at least once a day
- subsequent posters may not repeat answers. So if Poster #1 lists Back to the Future for Question 2, you must list a correct answer BESIDES BttF
- you may not repeat your OWN answers. So if "War of the Worlds" happens to fit the first three clues, you may only use it once. HOWEVER, if you use it to answer Question 1 and someone ELSE uses it to answer Question 2, that's fine
- movies with the same name are fine if they're unrelated (eg. Crash 2004 and Crash 1996), but not if they're direct remakes (Italian Job 1969 and Italian Job 2003). Sequels are fine
- you get one point per correct item found. If it's in a movie I haven't seen, I may call on the other Mutants for verification, but all decisions by PoolMan are final
- first poster to get all 5 items on a List gets an extra 2 points (so the max possible score per List is 7)
- extra-clever entries may - MAY - earn an extra point. Hooray for intangible measurements!
- you may not edit your post. If you and Poster #1 happened to name the same movie because you were both typing at the same time, tough. Posts with "Last Edit..." at the bottom are disqualified * (and don't count towards the maximum of five posters)
- first player to 50 points is declared "Reigning Scavenger Hunt Champion" (I would suggest including this in your signature line for the Forum!) and the score is reset to 0 for all players
- further rules may be announced by me if we get into a loophole situation
Ready? Great! The first List will follow in my next post!
* No, that doesn't count THIS post, wiseass.
