Share your unreasonable ambitions here!
It's my opinion that everyone should have at least two, and I personally roll with about four. Observe.
Finish college
Rank: Vaguely possible.
A relatively unexciting goal which is nonetheless proving to be a Herculean task for me. I think it has something to do with my being a horrible student.
Write, and make a living of it
Rank: Will take some doing.
I don't care if it's just typing up tech manuals, I want to write for my supper. The pipe-est of all pipe dreams would be to have a syndicated humor column, but I'd settle for a lot less.
Dabble in voice acting
Rank: Slimly-chanced.
Born of my love for anime, and made a lot less likely by my discovery that voice acting evidently requires real credentials and is not something any shlub off the street can do. As such, my original plan--jaunt down to Houston, burst into ADV headquarters like I own the place, and win everyone over by sheer force of overconfidence--has been scrapped.
Live in an abandoned warehouse
Rank: Not bloody likely.
I say "warehouse," but an old factory or refinery would work just as well.
For as long as I can remember, I've had an odd fascination with industrial structures, especially when they're dilapidated.
The problem: Despite being something that apparently nobody wants, I'd wager that an entire warehouse is well out of my price range. I probably couldn't even afford to just lease a corner on one floor, and let the squatters and crackheads keep the rest.

Write a screenplay, based on the absolutely insane thoughts that go through my head.
The Problem: My head should be studied, intensely, before it can be decided it's best to get these thoughts out of it. And - these are such good ideas, I don't want someone to rip them off. And - how do I organize them? I have such a huge problem with ADHD, that I can't pay attention to the process of organzing these thoughts long enough to do anything with them.
Rank: Possible - but impossible. Or impassable (they say nothing's impossible). I don't know anything about how to write a screenplay.

Finish School: Problem: got ADD and i will probably have to do math over a couple of times but other than that I'm set Rank: Possible
Become a filmmaker: Rank: Already there
Become a big well known actor/writer/director. Problem: Thats going to be really hard Rank: Possible ( I start filming a independent film this august that I wrote pretty excited about that).

to someone just passing through the forums who doesn't know any better, this thread really seems like it should be about the band heart and their greatest hits.
so, i mean, just be careful the next thing you come up with a thread title, yeah?
find someone who will talk about the band heart and their greatest hits
easy, probably, right? heart rules! "these dreams go on when I close my eyes / every second of the night, I live another life / these dreams that sleep when it's cold outside / Every moment I'm awake, the further I'm away"

Buy a Paul Reed Smith Guitar
Problem: PRS guitars can cost thousands of dollars, and as it is, I only have a semi-part-time job.
Rank: Possible, but it'll be a while before I save up enough money.
Write and direct a film
Problem: I have no ideas. And I'm lazy.
Rank: Possible; I work at a very small-time production company, so all I really have to do is come up with something that'll get ok'd by my boss.

Write a Song
Rank: Exceptionally difficult, and a real time consumer to boot.
The difficulty lies not in ideas, but in the technical process of bringing a song to sheet music (for concert band or jazz band, which is what I'd be writing for). I'd love to do it, but it'll be a while before I can soak up the tech knowledge.

Write and record a song
Rank: Next to impossible, because I'm deeply critical of my own work, whether it's a drawing, a poem, or *cringe* a really terrible song. Mostly because I'll write one, think it's cool, and then an hour later shred the song to pieces as I listen to Cat Power/the Decemberists/Jeff Buckley (it's usually one of those three).
And here's something that may seem a bit audacious: Write for MRFH.
Rank: Maybe possible (?), if there's ever an opening or call for a correspondent in the near future and I can get my act together and come up with a good application that looks like I spent serious time on it. And then there's the question of whether it can be deemed mutant material or not. ;D

Have a fantasy novel published. Get paid for it.
Rank: It could happen, but it probably won't be for a few more years of submissions and rejections. Plus I've been spending overmuch creative energy on fanfic recently, so I'm currently pinning my hopes on my last novel project.
Get into medical school. Survive a surgical internship. Become a general surgeon and remove gallbladders for a living.
Rank: Matter of time. I've had to accept that it may be a few more years before I can present myself before an interviewer in a convincing enough manner to be offered admission.
Find a good dance partner who likes European style ballroom.
Rank: Probably never going to happen. Most guys don't like to dance, so the ones that are good at it can pick their partners. And those partners tend to be very small persons who are easily wafted up into the air. Plus swing is still far more popular than real ballroom dancing.
I know lots of us women, not to reinforce a stereotype or anything, have thought of this one:
Wear the clothes I wore in high school. Well, fit into them at least.
Rank: Maybe some day, when I'm living alone and forced to eat my own cooking.

I would've titled it "Alone," but that wouldn't have made any sense. Heart is actually going to be at the Grand Palace here in Branson some time next week, which means they will almost certainly not be seen by me. Don't get me wrong; I like them, but I'm not willing to face The Horde for their sake.

This is how you do it, or how my film teacher taught me - you being applying at studios to be a reader during movies, like during the recording of Shrek 2, Mike Myers and Eddie Murphy don't come in on the same day. Eddie comes in, and a reader reads Mike Myers lines to cue Eddie Murphy. It gives you credentials, you meet Eddie Murphy, and people can see your talent.

Pay off my Credit Card
Rank: slowly happening I need to control my spending for at least the next year, but it's under $3000 finally. Yay!
Go to Grad School
Rank: coming to fruition I'm looking right now and hoping to be enrolled by fall '07.
Publish My Novel
Rank: unlikely, but I'm stil hopeful. What? I have a degree in English Literature. Of *course* I'm writing a novel.
Go to England
Rank: someday. I'm a bit of an Anglophile, so finally getting to see Stonehenge, the Salisbury cathedral, and all the relics of days gone by is something I really want to see happen someday.

I also want to become a filmmaker. They say sometimes that learning what to do with a camera is more important than knowing what to do with a story. But hey - I also know what to do with a story.

I am pretty psyched that I start filming my independent low budget movie. It's not going to make any money (because it's being directed by 2 amateur directors and starring mostly amateur actors.) but practice makes perfect.
