well, i don't know for sure.
but at the san diego comic con, i attended a panel for wildstorm comics. when i wrote out potential panels i wanted to attend, this particular one was double-starred.
one star was for Grant Morrison.
the other star was for adam brody. star of 'the oc,' co-writer of a new superhero comic book.
i sat in the third row. a big contigent of teenage girls went nuts and acted elated when adam brody walked in. SO DID I.
a larger and more "manly" section of the male comic book geek audience went nuts and acted elated when Grant Morrison walked in. SO DID I.
i forget what my point is. if you read comics, read everything Grant Morrison writes. i read his first two issues of 'batman' at the dc comics booth and they are AMAZING!
brad meltzer is cool, too. 'justice league of america' issue #0 (new this week!) was excellent, and now i want to check out his fiction bestsellers.
some other stuff happened at the sdcc, i guess. it seems like weeks ago, but i guess i just got home a couple hours ago? whoa. i had to drive about two hours from san diego to home, and i swear at one point i blinked and had somehow reached riverside, which meant i had traveled 50 miles in the blink of the eye. thanks, subconscious steering brain mechanism!
oh, and i grabbed about a million 'casino royale' postcards. who wants one?

i guess i respect your opinion regarding lucy liu being more attractive than adam brody.
however, i don't understand it. i guess i never will.
formulating an aethestic opinion, especially when it comes to something like beauty, is a deeply personal process that draws upon both outside and inside stimuli. just as it is true that you respond to certain things that inside you simply feel are "good," it is just as true that outside stimuli (such as being told something is "good" or "bad") can have an adverse effect.
so when you say that lucy liu causes a more erotic response in you than adam brody, yes, it is your opinion and yes, it is a valid statement.
however, you are completely wrong.
adam brody is a beautiful, glowing example of all that is right on the planet earth. he is also dating rachel bilson, and every time rachel bilson smiles, an angel gets a new pair of wings.
lucy liu is a charmless, ugly monster, whose only real claim to fame is that she has appeared nude in a handful of films.
so i'm trying my best to respect what it is you're saying. but i'll never understand how a person can make such a statement, and i guess i never will. i hope whatever spiritual deity you believe in will someday have "mercy" upon your "soul."

Just like a camel is a horse designed by a committee, Lucy Liu is an attractive woman designed by a committee. You can see what they were trying to do but it didn't work.

I think I would do the same if I met Grant Morrison as well. I'm not sure about the whole OC thing though.
On a Grant Morrison related note; have you read "We3" Kyle? And if so, how did it make you feel?

just for future reference: asking me if i've read something by grant morrison is like asking the sun if it rises and sets everyday. the answer is "yes" but there are still things like "gravity" and "complicated celestial revolutions" involved upon deeper thought.
anyway: yep, i've read we3. i've loaned out we3 to friends who were touched, saddened, but ultimately uplifted by its message. i was affected to a degree: i've known of animal testing and the cruelties of man towards animals for years, so it wasn't shocking as it might be for a newbie to the subject.
that said, the way morrison made the test animals into living, breathing characters in the span of a few introductory pages was absolutely amazing. if they can channel even a bit of that emotion into the feature film, i will be blown away!

If its the Mysterious Stranger I know (Frell Yeah!), then no, its definitely not Rich.
MS is a guy regular attendee at the Burbank Farscape convention.

i'm right! wait! what are we talking about?
i'm telling you, people: if you can "dig it" then 'grind' is a really great movie! sort of. not really, but in a weird way: yes.
does that make any sense?

Well, if it IS Rich, perhaps he can explain why he just abruptly up and left the site without so much as a how-do-ya-do, and never replied to any of our e-mail inquiries?

I did "dig it" kyle, and I liked the movie a lot. I have a sweet spot for road trip movies. Plus the Tom Green part was really funny.
