some of us swap postcards, some of us don't. some of us have never even tried blue mountain dew at taco bell (which particularly breaks my heart).
but i'm curious: have you encountered anything cool or revolutionary in the world of postcards that you either utilize in your own mailings or thought "i would love to use that if i had a postcard and someone to send it to?"
i'm trying to get innovative, but it ain't easy. i need help and advice, if you can spare it.
and if not, here's something from me to you: those 'postsecret' books are really, really cool. that's good/fun postcarding!

ooh, good suggestions! thank you!
i'm excited because on my way back from san diego i stopped at sam's club for gas and ran in (i want a new ipod, but at the same time we're all thinking they'll announce a larger screen ipod in a couple months, so DANG IT) and they had a big pack of sharpie markers with some absolutely AMAZING greens and oranges; shades i would never even think of having in marker form but now i'm glad i do! hooray!

more important: is it a "normal" thing to keep postcards and special letters and whatnot?
i ask only because we got in a bunch of cool stationary that i bought (at the comic shop) that is completely awesome, but now i'm like "wait, if i send this to people will they legitimately recognize how cool this is and keep it in a cool dry place, possibly a shoebox or plastic keepsake box, or will they throw it in the trash? *jack bauer mode* dammit!"
what do you think? do you keep the cool stuff, or does it go in the trash?

I tend to keep.
I have a drawer that I keep strange but cool things, or things that I just find interesting in, and that's where I put postcards, cards, and letters. Except for Christmas Cards, unless there's something particularly noteworthy. Sometimes if they have something really snazzy on them I pin them up somewhere where I can see them.

I keep some of it. It depends. My mom sends me a lot of clippings and stuff that I don't save, but I save the personal stuff.
