I thought that for the sake of giving the gi-normous Linkage! thread a bit of a growth-break, it might be nice to have a separate thread devoted specifically to amusing videos found on Youtube or wherever. I'll kick things off: Mega 64I'm almost certain someone's posted something about these guys before, but oh well. Frankly, I'm not sure who to root for. The raison d'etre of the Mega 64 crew, as near as I can gather, is to reenact videogames in public until somebody gets pissed at them or the cops show up. On the one hand, these guys can be pretty obnoxious, but on the other hand, maybe the people who hassle them need to lighten up a bit (I will say that the coach in the Katamari clip was justified). You decide! Some Must Watches: Resident Evil 4Super Mario BrosIcoRiver City Ransom (Is it just me, or do all fat nerds have exactly the same speaking voice?) You might also watch the Metal Gear Solid clip, so that you can marvel at the spectacle of a teenager/twenty-something skulking around a supermarket in dark clothes, and somehow not getting the place evacuated. Or you can watch the Shenmue clip, and note how everyone Rocco talks to reacts either with annoyance or thinly-veiled terror.

Okay, the Ico one had me laughing so hard, I think I might have hurt something.

Agent Smith Goes to WashingtonAnother video from the Mega 64 crew. Rocco does a fine job despite being much too fat for the role and looking nothing like Hugo Weaving. The expression on his face after he takes over the guy in the car just slays me every time for some reason.

Silk Road SagaOkay, two things: 1. This isn't as good as College Saga, so don't go in expecting that (made by the same guy, though). 2. I do not have a thing for Asian women slightly under my ideal age range (G'oh, that sucks to admit!), except when they're abnormally cute. As such, I need someone to tell me who the girl is in the photo that General Gau shows Mark. I'm convinced I've seen her somewhere before. And no, not in my dreams. That wasn't a setup for anything. I'm reminded of the immortal words of comedian Jim Gaffigan: "Actually, I wish I was Korean, 'cause then my interest in Asian women wouldn't be considered so creepy."

Not especially silly, and not all that much of a video, but definitely something I'd like to have on my iPod: Contra Jungle Jam

I'm not usually one to link to ebaums world, but this is pretty funny (whole lotta bad language, folks, all sensitive ears and lawful-good forumgoers may wanna skip it): Did Microsoft help win World War II?

Not exactly a silly video, but not exactly not silly either. Warning: Gore and language. Surprise! The Punisher vs. WolverinePart TwoI know that the last time a "Punisher vs. Someone-the-Punisher-Couldn't-Handle" match was suggested on these boards, I sided with ol' Frank anyway, but I'm pretty sure the face-off posited here would be over in approximately three-tenths of a second, with an entirely different outcome. Anyway, fan films like this one fascinate me, in that, yes, they're incredibly low-budget and awful, but they still require the use of resources not commonly available. I'm just curious as to what manner of film studio would be responsible for something like this, or how one would repackage the phrase, "I want to make fifteen minutes of mostly-crap," into something that would pique said studio's interest.

Charlie: Candy MountainThe beginning is really irritating, but the ending is hilarious (if slightly morbid). Somehow, if Shalen were a unicorn I think she'd be like Charlie...
