Hey, gang. Just wanted to share a few choice photos taken during a recent excursion by PoolMan and PoolGirl to the U.S. of A. The east coast, to be more precise -- the two made time in their cool NYC adventure to pop down to Princeton for an evening to visit Lady Luck and I, and Lissa and Duckie were good enough to make the trek over as well. Sights were seen, beers were drunk (while Poolie scoffed at the low alcohol content of American brews), and a list of the foods I eat was compiled. (It was a very short list.) So without further ado, here we are! The Crew Abusing The Statues Chillin' At The Homestead -D

I'm trying not to writhe with envy. If not for my dog stubbing her toe, I might have been part of this immortality. *sigh* Glad you guys had fun!

Do you know how hard it was to get that second picture? The guy in the middle just wouldn't put down his sandwich and look at the camera, so we had to just snap the picture anyway...

If it makes you feel any better, Duckie, that jerk's been ignoring me for years.

This is going to sound really weird, but PoolMan, did you go on a cruise recently? If not, you have a doppelganger, so look out.

Poolman- if Drew didn't take you to Brother's Pizza, you have missed an integral part of the American Experience, and he owes you bigtime.

Pizza? Naaaw, it's all about the cheesesteak! It has to be! In Philly, sure, but they were in the great state of NJ! And in Princeton- a mere stone's throw from the best pizza ever!

Thanks Drew and Lady Luck for having us over, and thanks Lissa and Duckie for coming out to meet me and PoolGirl! We had a brilliant time, honest.
Sue: We missed ya, dear. It would have been great to see you, but I'll have to make do with a Wisconsin Shuffle!
Sarahbot: I think I have dozens of twins (dozenlets?) around the world, because I get that all the time. But no, no cruises lately.
And you guys just wait till I post pictures of Drew's den. Two words: HUGE. NERD.

In Philly, sure, but they were in the great state of NJ! And in Princeton- a mere stone's throw from the best pizza ever! No argument about the pizza (although since we were in Princeton, we would have taken them to Conte's, who also make a DAMN good pie). But we were looking to break stereotypes, so we decided to steer clear of any pizza parlors. This time. And you guys just wait till I post pictures of Drew's den. Two words: HUGE. NERD. I can't dispute that, but I think you need to turn that mirror right back around, bubba. Star Wars Transformers? That's double nerdery, reaching heights I can't even approach. (And you found an FAO Schwartz that was still open, huh? Weird. They made such a big deal about the original closing down, I guess I just assumed they were all gone.) -D
