A ton of reasons, the biggest of which is probably that we are complete opposites, and it took us a year to figure out that that wouldn't work out. Oh well, you live and you learn.

Wow dude, I am sorry to hear that. There is no real right or wrong way to cope with it. I was always the "drown my sorrows in Jack Daniels" type. I don't recommend it though dude, It puts a MASSIVE dent in the pocket book and your liver will never forgive you. It will take time to heal and then you get back up, dust off and, keep on going. It's easier said than done, but it DOES get better. It took me a few years after my ex dumped me to finally move on. It gets SO much better dude.
