I hate it when I get a tune stuck in my head. Even if it is Celine Dion, I hate something else more... Seeing a scene from a movie and not being able to find out what the movie is.
It happens all the time. On TV, in advertising, in the movies... you see a clip and you think, "That would be a fun movie to see", then it is gone and you never find out what it was.
Right now, the one that is driving me nuts is a scene I remember from a movie I saw when I was a kid. I am sure somebody knows it. The scene is some adventurers camping in a desert when a flash flood strikes and they run to a tree for higher ground. I think the same movie is when they are riding a piece of ice through a glacier like a roller coaster. It is an older movie. Does anyone know this?

This sounds like it should be familiar. Hmm, maybe we can narrow this down a bit more.
Can you remember:
What kind of people the adventurers were? Men, women, children, a mix?
How old is "older movie"? Black and white, or more like '80s?
Were they on an adventure (like it just happened or they were getting from one place to another) or were they on some sort of quest (like looking for treasure)?
Are there any little details you can think of: there was an animal; someone had a goofy hat; etc? Sometimes that can really jog the memory.

I am glad someone else understands my suffering. ) The people are on an adventure. The group is mixed, 5-7 people, children, men, women. At a guess, I would say it came out around the same time as 'Around The World In 88 Days'. I say that because that was what I rented first. For the longest time I thought these movies were the same. I was so mad when the movie was over and it wasn't the right one. Althought I did enjoy seeing ATWI88D again. )

"In Search of the Castaways" with Hayley Mills and Maurice Chevalier. I'm completely 100% positive about, but here's a scene so you can see for yourself. Alright, I don't know how to make a link, and I won't until I contact my benevolent computer-expert friend, so just go to YouTube and search "In search of the castaways". It's the top one. I watch it all the time, so even if it manages to not be the one you want, you should rent it all the same:).

penguin, to make a link do the following: 1) Right click the intended link and copy 2) In your post put {url=insertlinkhere}Whatever you wanna call it here{/url} Only use regular boxey looking brackets instead of the fancy ones, ie [ ]. So it will look like: Whatever you wanna call it here

The scene is here, does it work?Oh my god, it does!! I did a computer-thingy right, thank you thank you so much!! And also, is that the right movie? They're in the tree because they were in the desert and running from a flash flood like you said, and it's the only movie I can think of with people riding a chunk of ice through a glacier like a roller coaster. Thanks again!

Teehee, Penguin, you remind me a little of Morris the Bug. You're just a little bug who tries real hard!

Dude, I totally have the song "Enjoy It" om my iPod! I got it off my sister's Disney's Greatest Hits Collection & I never knew what movie it was from, I just liked it. I'm pretty sure I have to see this mow!
back to the original topic, this kind of stuff happens to me all the time. I used to watch so many movies on TV when I was a kid, but I could never remember more than a couple scenes when I wanted to buy/rent them.
