Hi there, OP! The mutants are a friendly, (mostly) harmless bunch. Don't be afraid to gleefully jump in.
Also, are you just a fan of penguins or do you, like me, think that Tux is the best li'l operating system logo out there?

I think I will use this thread to say hello as well. Not wanting to hijack Optimus' thread, however as we are both new it might be nice to share an introduction thread.
My name is tom, I am 24 years old, and I live in the UK. I spend most of my time watching movies, or reading books and comics. I used to be a big video game fan, but lost the enthusiasm. I also used to be mad on bass playing and seeing bands live, but dropped out of it after my teens. I am a diagnosed "Asperger Syndrome", which I may start a thread about one day and I am very involved in meetups and communities for UK "aspies". I spent a lot of childhood in France and like visiting there.
I really like this site as it has the same way of looking at movies as I do, I think.

Tom- I know that someone on here has a brother with Aspergers so I wouldn't be surprised at all if you could have some cool discussions around here.

OP, thanks for starting this thread, what a great idea. Welcome to the fold, don't let us scare you, we're mostly harmless!
Tom, I know I'd be interested in a discussion on Aspergers - as we've gone through some of the potential issues with our son's resistance to eating new foods, Aspergers has come up. While it would appear that it's more along the lines of "toddler imperialism" or hypersensitivity, the search for answers did uncover discussions on Asperger's syndrome, and I only have a rudimentary understanding of it. I know I'd be interested in hearing more about it.
