So as luck would have it, both "Intolerable Cruelty" and "Kill Bill" are opening this weekend at the only theater within walking distance form here. I fully intend to take in matinees of both of them this Saturday, one right after the other. I have a new name for Saturdays: Gleemonex.
Be honest film geeks, who else plans to be catching both of these this weekend? Or are you going to force yourself to chose between the Coens and Tarantino? Cuz I am so not that decisive...

It occurs to me that I might not survive that much ass-kicking in one afternoon, but at least I'll die doing what I love: making fun of Catherine Zeta Jones.

I'm far more interested in Kill Bill than Intolerable Cruelty... if IC turns out to be any good at all, I'll be genuinely surprised. It doesn't strike me as a Coens movie at all.
Kill Bill on the other hand... one of the few times in my life I've been looking forward to an Uma Thurman movie. ;D

Sonny Chiba and RZA in one movie? Count me in.
"IC" I'll wait on. At best, I'll rent it one day and be pleasantly surprised.

I'm just repeating everyone... I am torn on the issue of IC. Coens Brothers have not let me down... well, Blood Simple was pretty slow. But not lately. At the same time, its Catherine and Clooney in love. Meh.

Today's IC review at aintitcoolnews.com pretty much convinced me that the film is going to be pulling any (well, not many) punches. www.aintitcoolnews.com/display.cgi?id=16256I may be wrong, but considering their track record, I'm giving them the benfit of the doubt. Besides, I've had a long week - I need this double feature. I need to unwind and (hopefully) get wound up. Tarantino and Coens seem like the way to go - at least I'm not going to "House of the Dead". --PuggyD

You're better off than I was a while back. I remember I had a particularly terrible week, and I hoped that the weekend's newest movie offerings would alieviate my mind. Unfortunately, all I had to look forward to was the Marci X/My Boss's Daughter/The Medallion sh*t sandwich.

Ok so I guess I am the only one who's not interested in seeing either of these movies.

I'm going to try for Kill Bill if it's playing nearby. I can wait on Intolerable Cruelty- as much as I like the Coens, the previews just didn't grab my interest.

Ok so I guess I am the only one who's not interested in seeing either of these movies. Nope. I'm not either. I despise Uma Thermon, think Quentin Tarrantino is pompous and nowadays rather predictable, and the only thing I've ever liked CZJ in is Chicago. Count me out!

I...think Quentin Tarrantino is pompous and nowadays rather predictable Quentin Tarrantino: The only person you can call pompus that talks like Mike Tyson. Ever notice the similarity? Well, Kill Bill, I'll see it eventually if it's good. Same with IC.

Rather than stopping at merely not seeing these films, I'm actually going to anti-see them. I'm trying to figure out a way to make myself show up as a negative integer when ticket sales are tallied.

PuggyD: Did you just link AICN from the MRFH Forums? Hang your head in shame, man. I mean, mentioning the spawn of Harry Knowles around here... brrr... gives me the shivers thinking of what Justin did to the last guy...

Well, I must admit I do enjoy www.joblo.com better as far as my movie news needs go, but that review was the only one I've seen that rebutts the whole "Coen Brothers are going soft" opinion. Besides, at least I avoided the message board taboo of excessive emoticons. ;D --PuggyD
