This morning I was downstairs watching the tube, when an ad for Master and Commander happened to come on. I'd seen this commercial before, but never noticed until after I'd read Justin's Hunt for Red October review that the tagline for M & C is also "The Hunt is On." Homage, or glaring, sloppy mistake that will be called an homage later? Eh. The movie looks cool, so I guess everything's okay.
In unrelated news, Timeline is another one of those movies that I've decided to dread for intangible reasons.

I am reminded of these movies I saw in the video store one time, both with the same tagline... www.imdb.com/title/tt0104870/combinedand www.imdb.com/title/tt0167284/combinedHowever, I've heard the phrase "The Hunt is On" in hundreds of movie previews. Concerning Timeline, I had the misfortune of stumbling onto the Ain't it Cool News preview. If they're to be trusted, your hunch is correct. They set their militiant movie bitchiness levels to "kill" on it. Don't have the link offhand.
