remakes

In my newspaper today I was reading up on the upcomming movies of the next year, and most were sounding pretty good I thought. I then come across the section devoted to remakes and blind terror was rising up in me. I can't believe that some idiot out there would try to remake Dawn of the DeadTEXT some movies were just to good and to much of a classic for anyone to tamper with, and I think this is one of them. any other thoughts about hollywoods desire to screw with good movies.

Yeah... I think remakes should be outlawed, even the pretty good ones. It's a different story when it's a new movie that's based on the same source material of an old one (like a book, i.e. Frankenstein), but remaking an original film smacks of laziness.
