I saw the teaser for this recently, and I am actually looking forward to it for essentially three reasons:
1) To see if Ahston Kutcher can pull of a serios role - hey, he can't be any more wooden than Keanu
2) To see the Chaos Theory and Murphy's Law in action side by side - I've been waiting years for this
and the most important reason of all...
3) Time travel without science or divine powers - Hey, I love time travel, and I love the idea of this unique new way to do it.... besides, people that are messed up in the head are far more interesting than normal people - just look at this forum! ;D
Any thoughts?

I'm actually looking forward to it as well. Time travel's always an interesting premise, and if nothing else, maybe we can see it at a matinee. I DO find it alarming that Ashton Kutcher and Josh Hartnett could play a pair of twins (particularly in the serious roles, from the looks of it), but.... I actually don't have any Rooted Objections to Ashton. I get a kick out of Calsauo on That 70's Show, I've never bothered to see his movies cause they aren't my type, and why should I remotely care he's dating Demi Moore? She IS gorgeous. Hollywood 40 isn't normal world 40. Actually, if he pulls this off well I'll be rather impressed, because it would demonstrate a pretty good range, and I think that's the most impressive aspect of acting.

I'm pretty sure I mentioned this elsewhere, but aren't you the slightest bit miffed that the trailer basically tells what looks to be the entire story, less the ending, which will probably be a big twisty ball of cheese?
Heh. I like the fat punk with the different hairstyles in different worlds. "Oh no, truly I have befouled God's design! He's got spikes now!"
As for Chaos Theory and Murphy going toe to toe, I would have thought it was a little overwrought, but it's been done. Jurrasic Park (especially the book) was just dripping in it.

As I learned from my experiences with the wonderful television series Babylon 5, and more recently with the GOD-THIS-IS-THE-COOLEST-THING-I'VE-EVER-SEEN movie series Lord of the Rings, knowing what is going to happen is not necessarily the most important thing, often times the more interesting thing is HOW it happens. The joy is in the details baby, that's why we goto movies in the first place! ;D

I am annoyed, yeah, I'll grant you that! But so many trailers do the same thing It's annoying, but... As for the ball of cheese, eh. Most movies have cheese somewhere in them! I can handle cheese, if it's presented well. And if not, I'll just write a really nasty review. My bases are covered

As much as I dislike Ashton Kutcher (no reason really, he just irks me), I am cautiously optimistic. The movie definitely has potential, but it just kind of seems like the first part of The Time Machine stretched into ninety minutes. Like Pooly said, we already basically know what will happen, so my only big hope is that they don't try to explain the time travel too much. BTTF excluded, time travel is always better when it more 'Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's Court' style -- said Yankee is hit on the head and wakes up in medieval times -- than long expository sequences about wormholes and fluctuations in the space-time continuum.
