Okay Mutants, help me out.
There are two movies I really, really want to see. I'm having trouble finding them via conventional means, although I haven't done a thorough scavenging yet.
1.) Latter Days. This is one that was released in 2003, and is still listed under "Coming Soon" on IMDb. Does anyone know if it's geared for a widespread release? I looked on the website and it didn't look terribly promising- it almost looked like if I want to see it I have to go into Philly, which I hate doing. (Especially since this is one I will not drag Howard to.) I'd really like to see this one, although I suspect I'll have to wait until it comes out on video.
2.) Russian Doll. It's a 2001 release. Blockbuster doesn't have it. That doesn't mean West Coast or Hollywood Video won't have it. It got decent reviews on IMDb, but I don't trust that particular source. (Especially after reading some of the forums.) I did find a copy on Ebay for 16.99, which is totally reasonable. Has anyone here (where I do trust the judgment) seen this one? If so, is it worth buying if I can't find it to rent? It sounds like a standard romantic comedy, but it's got Hugo Weaving and David Wenham, so right there is why I want to check it out.
Anyway, if anyone has any info on these two movies, it would be really great. Thanks!
Lissa

In the same vein, I've been long searching for "The Specials", a superhero comedy with Rob Lowe that supposedly came out quite a few years ago, and also a copy of "Battle Royale" that plays in this region.

For Battle Royale, the best you can do is put your name in a mailing list on Amazon.com and they'll tell the distributors that loadsa people are waiting for it to be released again.
Im wating for them to release it in the UK too, aswel as the Manga books 6-11.
Either that or look in Flea Markets for bootlegs.

If you are looking for Battle Royale, you can also find it on any of the file sharing services. I will also note that I only use these services for movies that I cannot get in America yet (mostly Japanese and a few British and Indian). Hey, everyone has their reasonings.
