...A thought which struck me as I went to do the monthly Protestant service at our local nursing home, only to be staying an extra hour when one of my 90 year-old ladies was physically punched and shoved by a retired Catholic minister, who apparently went berzerk, snapped, and started swearing at everyone. That was a fun police report, let me tell you.

I didn't see the assault, I was in the room where I do my service, and that lady who was hit came in and said something about being hit, but I just thought she meant he bumped into her or something. After the service, I had to talk to two hysterical office workers who were upset over the abuse of one of their residents, and then the police officer who came.
No, we don't know why the guy flipped, he just did. He's a retired 70+ year old priest who just started cussing and yelling at the acitivities director in the home, and my scrappy 90 year old lady got between them and told the priest he shouldn't talk to her like that. He hit her in the shoulder, then pushed her away.
She's pressing charges, which is good.

He's a retired 70+ year old priest So a 70 year old priest would probably be in the Cleric class, and Clerics tradtionally use bludgeoning weapons (like maces) so, I don't know if that means anything, but maybe he could make it up to her by doing a curing spell. Oh, i've been playing WAY too much D&D. But anyway, that's an odd image. 70 year old man punching a 90 year old woman. I don't think I want to think much more about it. |

Yep, you gotta watch out for those Catholic priests. They are definitely the loose cannons of the bunch (bunch of what? I'm not to sure. Could be anything. But let's just pretend I know.)
