I like the darker stuff, so I think it'll be great! I don't have any worries. TMNT is THE SHIZZ forever.

How very interesting. My sibs and I used to love the original TMNT because they were one of the few kinds of action we were allowed to watch when we were kids. This looks exactly like something I might enjoy more now as a grown-up.
I'm liking the character design, too, even if it does seem a little more anime/furry influenced (cute) than serious.

I love that they are bringing back TMNT with this awesomr animation style. It makes it look new and almost original, I am definitely checking this out.

Yeah, it looks like it will be a tad bit more than fun. I can't wait. Everywhere I go, I see these huge, wall sized, TMNT posters that I want more than I want to breathe. So if anyone gets their hands on one of them, I'll purchase it from you. Keep that in mind when you are low on cash and want the new Regina Spektor CD and a #6 from Taco Bell...

Where's all the love for Ninja Turtles? The Transformers board has 3 pages. I was hoping more people would be looking forward to this. This is still one of my most anticipated films this year besides Hot Fuzz.

The TMNTs look kinda like frogs, but still really cool. I can't wait to see this in theaters. Luckily I have a younger brother to drag along as an excuse to see it.

If I don't get to this one at the theater, I'll be first in line to rent it. Hell, I saw the first TMNT movie in 1990 three times in the theater, the first time I ever saw a movie in the theater more than once. The Turtles are worth it.

I'm curious as to how much they'll take from the comics vs. the cartoons. It's supposedly going to be darker, a little more in line with the comic in that respect, but I don't know if that'll extend to plotlines or anything... if it does, lots of moviegoers are going to be asking "Hey, why did Shredder die so quickly? And why is Krang a whole race of alien guys who are more neutral than actually evil? And where's Rocksteady and Bebop?"
Still, should be interesting. I did love the Turtles as a kid. In a way the lack of hype is almost refreshing... the Transformers is going to be so publicized, if it sucks it'll suck big time; whereas if TMNT can manage to sneak under the radar a little, it could be a sleeper hit.
Just keep Vanilla Ice away.

...Surely you were joking with that "Keep Vanilla Ice away" line. The only reason I watch TMNTII is for the Ninja Rap.
"Go ninjas, go ninjas! Go!"
Classic. It is those moments that make it a timeless classic.
I just hope the new one is so lucky.

And she's lined us up to go see TMNT2 at the Alamo Drafthouse (along with the cartoon Transformers The Movie!). I'll be standing on my seat yelling "Ninja! Ninja! RAP!" and "They're BABIES!!!".

I am desperately trying to convince my Aunt that she should take my cousins and I (we're all in our late 20's) to this on opening day for nostalgia's sake. She always used to take us to see the cool movies
