Here's the official web site where ye can find many screen shots and the awesome trailer. I am becoming giddy with anticipation: this trilogy is going out with a real bang! disney.go.com/disneypictures/pirates/atworldsend/P.S. Yay for Chow Yung Phat

I'm fairly certain that a roving Handel's Messiah choir did their thing in my general vicinity when I found out that Youtube finally had the real trailer, and not just a bunch of fanmade garbage. P.S. Yay for Chow Yung Phat Will we be seeing some two-flintlock action, I wonder?

I agree that there is definitely some middle child syndrome going on, but it could be much worse (*cough* Matrix 2 *cough*). I think another big danger for this movie is that it has to compete in the "Summer of the Threequels" with Spider Man 3 and Shrek the Third.
Aside: If the protagonists of every recent threequel had a battle royale style fight to the death... wouldn't that be great eye candy for about 15 minutes?

That's why the three-way sword fight on the beach was one of my favourite parts. I'm going to be upset if they're de-scruffified Norrington for AWE.

Oh Come on. He is being reinstated to the King's Navy. The Brits were fastidious about keeping their image "clean" (Winston Churchill's comments on Naval traditions aside).

i'm VERY excited for the third pirates of the caribbean.
for the first time in a really long time (we're talking decades) i've managed to avoid all trailers, magazine articles, random pictures, and so on and so forth. other than theater posters and the like, i have no idea what's to come.
AND I LIKE IT.
we're all going to a midnight showing tomorrow. i've heard rumors that the movie is very plotty and hard to follow, which i completely dig. in about 30 hours, i'll know for myself. hooray!

I'm beyond excited. I'll be watching the premier in Japan. I wonder what kind of experience that is going to be... I watched Spider Man 3 out in town here. The theater was so nice and everyone was so quiet and respectful. That's good for them, because if someone interrupted my POTC3 I'd have to hurt someone!

Why, why, why is it opening Thursday at 8 PM here? It doesn't make any sense! 1. Why Thursday? 2. Why at 8, and not at noon when the first showings normally are? 3. Why no midnight screening? (Actually, this might have to do with a decision to cancel preview screenings in Canada because of piracy. But that was Warner Bros., AND it's not a preview screening if it's the 24th.)
