Anyone else completely in Love with Michael right now??? "I don't think I have to wait out Dunder Mifflin, David. I think I just have to wait out you." Flipping awesome.
Also- the Angela and Andy wedding website has been edited by Andy to reflect that the wedding is off and he's posted pictures of his multiple honeymoons that he took alone.

I've only ever seen the U.K. version of The Office. Embarrassment-humor at its' most painfully squeamish. I got through the two series but have had to stop watching the "Special" twice now. It's so hard to watch! I can only take so much of one person's constant humiliation. After awhile it's torture on me.
As for the American version, I tried to watch the first episode (of the first season) but it was horrible. I only got maybe 5 minutes in and had to turn it off. Is the 2nd episode any better?

The American Office gets better once they stop just revamping the UK version and writing their own stuff. If you can stick it out for a few more episodes you might end up liking it.

I like Steve Carell enough to try (he was the only good thing about Dan in Real Life).
But even though the U.K. Office was hard to watch, I've grown impossibly attached to the supporting characters. No American version can ever outdo their Dawn, Gareth, Tim, Keith, and Neil.

Oh, I'd debate that one. I haven't seen the British version (and like coccatino, feel that the U.S. version didn't hit its stride until season 2), but one of the things the U.S. version has been praised for is that the other members of the office (Toby, Meredith, Phyllis, Oscar, Kevin... dear God, Kevin, Creed, Kelly, Angela) are given larger roles and contribute to a lot of comedy in their own right. From what I've heard, the UK version stuck with primarily the main cast members, but the U.S. version has become truly an ensemble over the years. -D

Yeah, stick it out with the US version, it's really worth it.

Yeah, stick it out with the US version, it's really worth it. I'll just skip into Season 2, re-start there, watch one and if it doesn't bother me, I'll continue. (I know it but I'm very picky about TV) But even though the U.K. Office was hard to watch, I've grown impossibly attached to the supporting characters. No American version can ever outdo their Dawn, Gareth, Tim, Keith, and Neil. Oh, I'd debate that one. I haven't seen the British version You shouldn't have to. It's very mean-spirited. one of the things the U.S. version has been praised for is that the other members of the office (Toby, Meredith, Phyllis, Oscar, Kevin... dear God, Kevin, Creed, Kelly, Angela) are given larger roles and contribute to a lot of comedy in their own right. From what I've heard, the UK version stuck with primarily the main cast members, but the U.S. version has become truly an ensemble over the years. I'll give it a shot, but I still doubt the U.S. version will have me caring about the characters as much as I did with the U.K. version. Which I completely respect because it's an incredibly serious show and there are moments of real pain. I tried watching Carell in the first episode and the ham was flying like someone dropped a pig in a wood chipper! But again, I'll try the 2nd season and if it doesn't work on me, I won't make a big deal out of it.

"Oscar, I need your opinion. I’m having a colonoscopy and I’m wondering, in your experience… what kind of sensations… emotions… will I experience?" I saw it coming and still laughed so hard I had to pause it.

I actually decided to check out both versions of this show on Netflix. I barely made it through the first episode of the U.S. version. I didn't laugh once and - I don't usually bail on TV comedies just because I don't laugh but - it felt painful. So, I bailed and checked out the U.K. version and I only stopped at the specials. Made it through all the episodes but I lost my nerve during the 2nd series special. It was so harsh on the character played by Ricky Gervais. His character was fairly replusive, yes, but it was still too harsh.
