We've got the fourth season on DVD, and are planning on watching it sometime soon (we're going through Band of Brothers again right now, and then have to choose between rewatching Rome, or watching either Battlestar Galactica, Scrubs IV or Arrested Development III.)
Scrubs fifth season is supposed to be out sometime this spring, so we gotta get a move on it and watch season 4.
Justin, we're in the same boat - we got rid of our on-demand and digital cable last month. Our justification was that we've got sooo many DVD sets lined up, and rarely watch the 5 movies that HBO will show each month. For the price of the digital package, we can splurge on at least one new set each month instead, if we want to...

Cool beans. Although it's hard to wait for shows -- Heroes is one I really want to see -- I like how once I start watching a season, I don't have to stop and wait another week, or two, or six, for the next episode. Plus, many series can be appreciated more for overarching themes and storylines when you watch them all in one continuous block instead of piecemeal.
In my Netflix queue, I have these TV sets on standby:
Undeclared Veronica Mars Rome Brisco County Jr. Deadwood Adv. of Pete & Pete

I'm on the 3 at a time plan in Netflix, and I try to alternate a dramatic series, a comedic series, and a movie.
Here are my standby series: Entourage Rome Weeds Six Feet Under Homicide Deadwood Rescue Me Nip/Tuck Larry Sanders Show
I don't have HBO or Showtime--can you tell?

I'll second the anticipation on Heroes... I wasn't able to keep tuning in after the first couple of episodes, and didn't think to set the VCR for it (the sad part - the VCR is already set for Mon 9-10, because of Studio 60). Maybe we'll look to download from iTunes (if it's available that way), once I hook up my iPod to the widescreen TV.

I'm a bit upset -- Netflix apparently had a problem with the first disc of Doctor Who series 2, in that it abruptly cuts out in the middle of an episode to Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning where someone is getting their legs cut off. With a chainsaw.
My wife wasn't quite prepared for that.
So Netflix recalled the entire season, which means we've only seen 2 discs so far. It costs $80 at best buy, so no chance of me getting that!

Are there any vid stores nearby who might rent it at a reasonable rate? It may mean a min-marathon in order to beat the return dates, but at least it doesn't mean coughing up $80 to own it...

I'm not sure how I missed that... but it should probably be a permanent link on the main page. My husband's birthday is in 10 days. I think that I am going to order those and pretend that they're for him.

hahahaaha! Clips of everyone's fantasies of marrying Elliot = Hilarious.
Why does JD always want what he can't have?

Thoughts on the season finale of Scrubs?
-Can't believe they're teasing a J.D./Elliot romance yet again. I'd buy it more if they hadn't burned that bridge so definitively in the past, but now it feels like the writers just can't make up their minds... they were set on them just being friends, but oh, now that we only have one season left, let's get 'em together. I'm holding out hope (because if anyone can win me over, the Scrubs team can), but come on.
-Dr. Cox and Jordan revoking J.D.'s godfather status? Way cold, even for them. Kinda ruined the sentimentality of Jordan giving it to him in the first place. At least it led to that hilarious exchange.
Cox: Give up the godfather status and I'll stop calling you girls' names. Interested now? J.D.: I'm still here, aren't I? Turk: Dude, hold out, you can get more. Let me handle this. [To Cox] Sweeten the deal! Cox: Fine, I'll also give you my real pager number. J.D.: Eeeeeee! Turk: No deal! J.D.: But I'll be able to page him 24/7! Turk: Put a cherry on top. Cox: One hug. Turk: Per day. Cox: Decade. Turk: Week. Cox: Month. Turk: Done. [To J.D.] You're welcome.
-I can't believe they got away with that gag on network TV, on a channel that isn't FOX no less. At least now every guy knows what the price for THAT is: a diamond tennis bracelet.

JD and Elliot are life ruiners!!! Ok- I have absolutely NO compassion for Kim, but poor Keith has done nothing wrong! I don't think that Elliot really Loves him, but if she leaves him for JD like she left Shawn, I'm going to be annoyed.
Drew- I'm pretty sure Lady Luck would agree with me- the price for that is a HECK OF A LOT more than a diamond tennis bracelet!!!!
