....Like, "lifelong fidelity" more, or "...and matching diamond earrings" more?
I kid, I kid. (And Lady Luck says to tell you she wholeheartedly concurs.) Of course, the smart man can bargain for that with an engagement ring.
I am not a smart man.

So, does this mean you and Lady Luck have matching earrings? Or, she wanted a matched set? Ya never know with kids these days Someday I'll catch up on the latest Scrubs episodes. But, for now, I must be content to watch season 5, when it shows up at our doorstep this week :-)

Heh, we picked up season 5 this week too... good stuff. Hope we're still using this thread to list quotes, because we just watched the episode with one of my favorite quotes of all time.
"Lonnie, when filling out a female patient's chart, her breasts can be either 'healthy' or 'unhealthy,' never 'bangin' double Ds.'"

Couple of good lines on tonight's episode.
Turk: We agreed that's how we'd raise our kids! J.D.: "Our kids"? Turk, we're not married. Turk: Dude, we are a little. J.D.: ...I know, and I love it.

Haha! That was pretty great. We're definitely instituting a remote control wrestling policy at my house, now.
that 9.2 is out of 100.

I absolutely love the show. And by this time, have seen every episode of every season, 1-7. At least once. Maybe twice. Some three or four times. Huge crush on this guy!

I'm disappointed in all of us, but especially myself and coccatino, that there's been no discussion yet of the season (and probably series) finale of Scrubs. Thoughts? Were you happy with how they went out, or was it a colossal disappointment to you?
Lady Luck and I both agreed that the first half of the episode disappointed us, but they brought it back strong in the second half. One of the things I hate about many sitcoms is that over the course of years, they seem to focus in on one aspect of a character's personality over all others and just play it up to the extreme. You can see it in Friends, how Ross started as a relatively normal, relatable guy, then by the last few seasons had morphed into this neurotic, whiny mess that you couldn't even watch. J.D. definitely suffered from The Ross Effect... remember those first few seasons when he drank beer, could converse about sports a little, and was a true POV character? And remember how by the end he hated beer and drank only appletinis, couldn't tell one sport from another, and every third line was a gay joke about him and Turk? (Not that there's anything wrong with that.) I'm not saying the show stopped being funny, but the relatability to J.D. just vanished. The finale didn't reverse that, exactly -- God knows the gay jokes were still there -- but for the first time in years, in that second half, I actually could relate to J.D. I liked him, I felt like I was laughing with him instead of at him. That was a nice touch. It wasn't a perfect series finale by a long shot, but the goodbye moments between J.D./Carla and J.D./Dr. Cox were great.
Agreement? Disagreement? Apathy?

I have never been able to follow... what do they call it, Network Television? The big channels, the ABC, CBS, NBC group. I despise their scheduling and find it impossible to catch the shows I'd actually watch. The last time I followed a big network show, it was such a PAIN, I can't describe it.
So, I always catch the newer episodes on Comedy Central (which I know, they haven't started the 8th season yet, but most likely they will). Or, on MegaVideo, when they actually used to keep that show up to date. I haven't gone back in over a month, but episodes were dropping like flies from there. And I don't have the patience to do a thousand online searches to find episodes... I tried once and the best I could find was some Japanese player that forced HUGE ads all over the screen. Drove me insane.

I despise their scheduling and find it impossible to catch the shows I'd actually watch. The last time I followed a big network show, it was such a PAIN, I can't describe it. Up until, say, three years ago I could totally sympathize, but... DVR, my dear. It's a wonderful invention. Meanwhile, it appears that last episode was NOT in fact the series finale, as ABC has renewed Scrubs for another season. *sigh* As much as I loved the show, I'm not a fan of that decision. It's not Scrubs anymore. Bill Lawrence is busy with his new show Cougartown. Zach Braff and tentatively Sarah Chalke have signed on for six episodes apiece as guest stars, but that's it. John C. McGinley and Donald Faison may be back, but Neil Flynn won't because his new show was picked up. No word on Judy Reyes, but I know she was planning on leaving. With less than half the cast and some interns, it's not Scrubs, it's a spinoff. And that's fine, but then don't call it "Scrubs." Screw it, last episode was the series finale, this is a different show with the same name. Maybe it'll be okay, maybe it won't, but it's a new show. Scrubs is over. -D

I'm actually really excited to see a new season with The Interns. They should in a way consider it a spin-off. But, it won't last or go anywhere after it's completed. Without J.D., the show might finally get back to some of the drama that made it so great at the start. Judy Reyes was the show's only real hard-edged element and they watered her down so badly, it's sad. I saw like 3 episodes from the 8th season and The Interns are some interesting people. Especially the girl who... she had more going on with her, but hopefully everybody remembers who she is if I saw she's the one who liked to sleep with heavyset guys.
