Secret of Lunar, and Lunar Eternal Blue. I got so into those games it wasn't even funny.
For just two weeks no, eating, sleeping, or class. Just Lunar.

My favorite games of all time are the 4 games in the [glow=red,2,300]Monkey Island[/glow] series, for PC. The series started really long ago, i think 1990, and the first two games have very little sound, but every game is hilarious...they never get old. If anybody can get any of the games in the series, do it! They should be cheap.
I also like GTA:Vice City. It improved on all the weak spots of GTA 3.

My my...I'm surprised nobody mentioned Legend of Zelda: OoT...which I believe is the greatest game of all time, but there's a little nostalgia in there (first game I truly enjoyed playing)...the GTA series, not for the gameplay and such but for the experience hm...Chrono Trigger, of course, FF3/6, KOTOR and Viewtiful Joe. and the Simpsons game truly was the best ripoff of the double dragon game

For me, the best means the most replayable. Atari
- Spaced Invaders (of course!)
- Pac-man
- Pitfall!
NES - my all-time favorite game system!
- Maniac Mansion (I LOVE this game, multiple storylines depending on the characters you select, unique gaming style, and a super funny game [call Edna for a good time!])
- River City Ransom (Why can no one remember this but me?
- Galaga
- Jackal
- Castlevania 2: Simon's Quest
- Super Mario Bros. 3
and some of my favorite NES games of all time, the Kemco RPG series. They all had this point and click interface where you could interact with almost any object in the game in almost any way. The games were: - Deja Vu (Best of the series, you play a man that wakes up in a 1930's Chicago bar bathroom with blood on your hands, a needle-mark in your arm, an empty revolver and no memory of who you are!)
- Shadowgate (The most well known, a typical dungeon crawl/Choose-your-own adventure game).
- The Uninvited (An early predecessor to the Silent Hill series, you and your sister are on a trip and have a car accident. You regain conciousness and find your sister gone and a creepy house in front of you. More silly than scary now though).
Genesis (SNES sux!)
- Sonic the Hedgehog 2 & 3
- Sonic Spinball
- Comix Zone (So much fun to play inside a comic book. Go rat go!)
- Shadowrun (This is based on an awesome RPG, and they really stay true to the game's world and feel, get this if you can find it!)
- Romance of the Three Kingdoms III (Don't like the rest of the series, just this one. It has just enough options to make me a happy Chinese warlord and not too many that I fall asleep)
After this period, I really got out of consoles and moved into computers. With PSOne, all I ever played were the "Survival Horror" series (Resident Evil, Dino Crises and my personal favorite Parasite Eve). I have not bought another console since. Computer Games
I LOVE everything about the Legacy of Kain world (Blood Omen, Soul Reaver etc.), and luckily every single game so far has come out on PC (crosses fingers). Also love... - Leisure Suit Larry (All of them, funny funny unique and original series, the very first "adult" games that ever came out. Adult without being pornographic!)
- Dungeon Siege (Fun for hours and hours, even after you've explored every corner of the single and multiplayer worlds.)
- Dink Smallwood (It's freeware, Get it. I command thee!)
- Duke Nukem 3D (Still the only FPS I like, bring me more!!!)
- GTA Vice City
- Dominion: Storm Over Gift3 (A Command and Conquer-style game that unfortunately came 4 years too late to be innovative [StarCraft came out the same year and whooped everyone's butt], I think I own one of three copies of this game left in the world. For real.)
- Deathdrome (Another unknown game. You get to play a prisoner in the future that has to play to earn your freedom. The game involves riding a death cycle, earning your required number of kills and getting out of the zone. If you are not the first one out, the electrical "scrubbers" come in and kill you along with all others except the winner, who goes onto the next stage. Very addictive.)
- City of Heroes (my first MMORPG, and my new obsession, believe the hype and grab it up!)
So after all of this travellling through video game history, what have I learned? 1. We have come a long way from Nintendo Thumb (remember that? who ever thought a 3D RECTANGLE would make a comfortable controller should be shot) 2. I play way too many games, and have way too strong a sense of nostalgia. 3. If Nintendo and Sega were smart they would release their own Emulators with a complete ROM-set of every game ever made for each system built into the emulator. They'd make a fortune from all those that love their games. 4. Pie is indeed good, though I'm not a big fan of glass-shard pie. 5. I talk ALOT 6. I think all game designers must be required to design and create one game for an NES-class system. All good ideas disappeared when they replaced those good ideas with pretty graphics instead. If they can successfully make a unique and fun NES game, then they can be allowed to make a next-gen game. So I think I will stop there. Any questions? ;D

I love the Monkey Island series and can find myself replaying them quite often. I also enjoyed Sam & Max Hit the Road, another classic LucasArts adventure game.
The old Simpsons arcade game is a big part of my life (I wrote an English essay on how beating it was a "rite of passage" in my life. I got a 97. People were shocked.)
Both Max Payne games, in my opinion, are very awesome indeed.
I also really enjoyed Skies of Arcadia.
Hmm...any old beat 'em up game I find enjoyable. Especially TMNT, Aliens vs Predator, the Streets of Rage series and the already mentioned Simpsons game.
Chrono Trigger is another favorite of mine.
There are so many more, I'll have to think about it.

I played it about 50 times when I visited this place during the summer once. Now those were good times. Though that was a really weird game. EDIT: Heh, I just remembered I talked a little bit about this earlier in the thread. My brain really is on auto-pilot.

Sam and Max Hit the Road had to be one of the funniest adventure games ever made. You know, I just remembered, they're making another Sam and Max game. Oh, I got Hit the Road for my friend, and we used to play it all the time. It was such a good game. Come on, the Great Ball of Twine? How can that be bad?

Sadly, the new Sam & Max game was cancelled right before it was due to come out.

Umm... uhh... Oh yeah!? (Good one Mysterio) Anyway my all time favorites would probably be Super Mario Bros., FFVIII (yeah some of you think it sucks), Zelda: LTTP, original Donkey Kong, and Super Punchout! Some of the more recent games I really like: Halo, Warioware (If you have a GBA and like videogames there is no reason why you shouldn't have it), Zelda: WW, and Ico is really good even though I'm stuck right now.

Umm... uhh... Oh yeah!? (Good one Mysterio) Anyway my all time favorites would probably be Super Mario Bros., FFVIII (yeah some of you think it sucks), Zelda: LTTP, original Donkey Kong, and Super Punchout! YES! Another FF8 fan. That is such an awesome game. Come on, it has gunblades. Gun + Blade. That's just truely awesome. They should make a gunchainsaw though, if not for an FF then for Evil Dead 4. And I didn't mind the draw system so much. I'm not sure why. I had to replay 8 because I screwed up a lot, but if you didn't beat it and you need to replay it again, I have a solution: [Possible FF8 psuedo-spoilers] To get great spells, use the world map draw points on the Island Closest to Heaven and Hell, and just keep drawing. It takes a while but eventually you'll get enough. Also keep the 5000 gil Ultima draw point in Shumi Village available. The most important thing is: don't underestimate the power of stat bonuses. You can get a full set of these with Cactar. Use this with Bahamut's Ability x4, level your character to 100, and I assure you, your character will rock and Ultimecia will be easy. [End possible psuedo-spoilers] Also, there was one thing I found annoying about FF7. I mean, sure, it's a great game, but not the best of all time. In fact, FFX might be better. The big problem with 7 is that it's dark, but the chibi style characters conflict too much with the surroundings. I honestly didn't like that. Also, though the graphics were great for its time, many of those sets look straight out of Super Mario RPG. I'm serious. Another problem with 7 is that the music wasn't nearly as good as the others. The only big stand-outs are the Turks' Theme (to give FF7 credit, the Turks were awesome), One-Winged Angel, and the Boss theme. In FF8 there were those two Latin themes that rocked much, Fragments of Memories, Love Grows, and Wine and Roses were all great sentimental themes that fit the game well and stood out, and, of course, the best fight theme of all time, Man With the Machine Gun. And moombas. Moombas are good.

I think the Final Fantasies and MGS are close, but American McGee's Alice rocks on so many levels. I want to try Halo when I get time. Shadowbane's pretty awesome too. As for older ones- wow, so many . . . Monkey Island, Loom, Dr. Mario, Jill of the Jungle (for some reason), Return to Zork, Myst, etc. I'd keep going, but there are only so many hours in the day. Anyone remember 7th Guest? That game freaked me out when I first played it! EDIT: Fallout 2! How could I forget you?
